This is the pastime of Kṛṣṇa known as dāmodara-līlā. Therefore another of Kṛṣṇa's names is Dāmodara. As stated in the Hari-vaṁśa:

:sa ca tenaiva nāmnā tu
:kṛṣṇo vai dāma-bandhanāt
:goṣṭhe dāmodara iti
:gopībhiḥ parigīyate
