Gadādhara Paṇḍita gave up his vow and service to Gopīnātha just as one gives up a piece of straw.</p>

<div class="purport text"><p>Just to get Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's association, Gadādhara Paṇḍita gave up his life's vow to engage in Gopīnātha's service. This kind of loving affection can be understood only by very confidential devotees. Ordinarily, no one can understand its purport.</p>
