<p>Guru-kṛpā: And here he gets paid twelve dollars an hour.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: Bricklayer.</p>
<p>Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Yes, twelve dollars an hour.</p>
<p>Guru-kṛpā: So one hundred dollars a day.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: Oh, it is impossible to engage.</p>
<p>Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Oh yeah, very expensive.</p>
<p>Guru-kṛpā: Construction worker, just to build a simple building, they charge construction about nine dollars an hour, every man, minimum, unskilled man, nine dollars an hour.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: Then, how it will be possible?</p>
<p>Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: We were discussing this. The way to do it, is that you get some person... There are many persons all over the country who are knowledgeable, who can do the work, but who are friendly. Just like in many temples that I visited, they have people, professionals who are working, but they are young men and because they are friendly towards our society, they'll do the work for less money. I'm sure that there are people who can be found like that here.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: American devotee, Asian, and Australian devotee.</p>
<p>Guru-kṛpā: I think it can be done amongst our devotees.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: Mm. We are not very anxious to get done immediately, we shall do slowly.</p>
<p>Guru-kṛpā: So we are, me and Tamāla Kṛṣṇa, we have organized the saṅkīrtana here. The saṅkīrtana should increase about ten times. Before they were doing three hundred dollars a day, now they should be doing at about one thousand three hundred dollars a day.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: That is nice.</p>
<p>Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Therefore I think if we have profit, fifty percent can go for books, and fifty percent can be banked. And when they have enough money, then we can build the temple. But it's the only question...</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: No, with what, whatever collection is there, fifty percent, go on. Why wait?</p>
<p>Guru-kṛpā: And what about my collections in Japan?</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: We also spent here for the time.</p>
<p>Guru-kṛpā: 'Cause I will be getting nice collections this year.</p>

<p>Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: There's three hundred devotees from America, England and South America. And then, of course, there's still Australia devotees and some devotees from Africa. There are more. So I think at least between three and four hundred devotees.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: And here we can accommodate. How many rooms?</p>
<p>Satsvarūpa: 165 on one floor and 135 on another.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: Two persons very comfortably can live in one room.</p>
<p>Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: That's nice.</p>

<p>Hari-śauri: It's very rich. Because in the northwestern Australia, there is lots of mining towns, and Perth is the only place that they can come to spend their money. So we can collect lots of money. It's very good.</p>

<p>Hari-śauri: There's an eight-hundred-acre farm we are getting in Australia. The devotees are very enthusiastic for it, because in the past we haven't been able to make so many new devotees. They are not very much attracted to living in the cities in Australia. But they think that the farm... Then that will expand a lot. Probably this region we can grow everything, fruits, all kinds of tropical fruits, and cows.</p>

<p>Hari-śauri: Flowers... Svarūpa Dāmodara was also suggesting that in a little while I might like to arrange a tour of the universities there, for he and Mādhava and Sadāpūta. <p>Hari-śauri: You saw him in Bombay last year. He had just done some drawings for the development of Bhuvaneśvara, and you asked him if he would like... Oh, Haridaspur. At that time he was working on some plans for Haridaspur, and you asked him if he would like to stay there. He's... Bhāgavata put that he had died of some brain virus.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: In Bhuvaneśvara?</p>
<p>Hari-śauri: Yes. That is part of Jagannātha Purī dhāma?</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: Oh, yes.</p>
<p>Hari-śauri: Is that a guarantee for going home, if someone leaves their body in the dhāma?</p>

<div class="purport text"><p>The cult of bhāgavata-dharma can be spread in all circumstances, among all people and in all countries. Many envious people accuse the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement of spoiling the rigidity of so-called Hinduism. That is not actually the fact. Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu confirms that devotional service to the Lord—the cult of bhāgavata-dharma, which is now being spread as the Hare Kṛṣṇa movement—can be spread in every country, to every person, in any condition of life, and in all circumstances. Bhāgavata-dharma does not restrict pure devotees to the Hindu community. A pure devotee is above a brāhmaṇa; therefore it is not incompatible to offer the sacred thread to devotees in Europe, America, Australia, Japan, Canada, and so on. Sometimes these pure devotees, who have been accepted by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, are not allowed to enter certain temples in India. Also, some high-caste brāhmaṇas and gosvāmīs refuse to take prasādam in the temples of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Actually this is against the instruction of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Devotees can come from any country, and they can belong to any creed or race. On the strength of this verse, those who are actually devotees and followers of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu must accept devotees from all parts of the world as pure Vaiṣṇavas. They should be accepted not artificially but factually. One should see how they are advanced in Kṛṣṇa consciousness and how they are conducting Deity worship, saṅkīrtana and Ratha-yātrā. Considering all these points, the envious persons must henceforward refrain from their malicious atrocities.</p>
