Therefore he says it is nonsensical, because I cannot experience it as a sensory experience. How does that have sense content, that statement?</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: That means whatever does not come through his senses, that is not true.</p>
<p>Śyāmasundara: No. But whatever cannot be experienced is not true.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: Experience means by sense experience. That means whatever is not under direct perception, sense experience, that is false.</p>
<p>Śyāmasundara: Either direct or indirect. But how can I experience that statement that "Everything is Brahman"?</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: Indirect is there. Just like we accept that everything has got some cause. So I am a person; the cause is my person father, and his father is also person. Similarly, the ultimate father, the original father, although I have not seen, I cannot sense perceive, still, I must conclude that He is a person.</p>
<p>Śyāmasundara: But I think behind your statement "Everything is Brahman," there are also statements which show the person how to experience Brahman.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: This is Brahman. Brahman means the greatest. Greatest.</p>

<p>Prabhupāda: Yes, it is experienced, but on account of his foolishness he is thinking otherwise. He knows that "I am not this body. I am now in this body of old man, but I was not in this body, say, fifty years ago. Therefore I am not this body, that body or this body. I am different from the body." This is very easy experience. I am existing. I understand that I existed in a baby's body. I existed in a child's body, boy's body. So I have now changed so many bodies. Therefore I am not this body. Just like you dress. You are now in black coat, and next moment you can be in other color. But you are not this coat. You have changed the coat. Similarly, I have changed the body, but I am not this body. This is self-realization. First of all let me know that "I am not this body; I am living within this body." You are not this coat. If I ask you, "Mr. Blackcoat," that is my foolishness. You are neither black coat or white coat. And that is self-realization.</p>
<p>Professor Durckheim: And yet isn't there difficulty. You can already have understood very well that you are not the body, but as long, for instance, as you have still fear of death, you didn't understand that experience. As soon as you understood by experience, you have no fear of death because you know that you can't die.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: So experience is received by higher knowledge. Experience means higher knowledge. Just like a child...</p>
<p>Professor Durckheim: Experience means...</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: Higher knowledge. Higher knowledge.</p>
<p>Professor Durckheim: As soon as you have the experience, you get the higher knowledge.</p>
<p>Prabhupāda: Yes. So the more you are highly elevated in knowledge, your experience is perfect.</p>
