The Supreme Personality of Godhead, though entirely self-sufficient and the source of all benedictions, delights in receiving the heartfelt blessings of His devotees. In the pastimes of Vrajabhūmi, Kṛṣṇa is constantly surrounded by those whose affection overflows in spontaneous acts of blessing—from the learned brāhmanas who recognize His supreme position, to Nanda Mahārāja and Yaśodā who bless Him as parents bless their child, to the gopīs who anoint His body with turmeric and milk while pouring forth endless blessings, to even His spiritual master Sandīpani Muni. Yaśodā and the cowherd women anointed His body with sacred substances while blessing Him for protection; the gopīs poured forth blessings mixed with their tears; Nanda Mahārāja distributed cows to the brāhmanas so that their blessings might rest upon his beloved child.
• The Guru's Blessing and the Eternal Nature of Kṛṣṇa's Words: Even Sandīpani Muni, Kṛṣṇa's spiritual master, recognized the paradox that the Lord transcends all blessing, yet it remained his sacred duty to bless. Through his blessings, Sandīpani conferred upon Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma the benediction that whatever they speak shall remain eternally fresh as the instructions of the Vedas—a blessing that consecrates the eternal authority of the Lord's teachings.
