- Akrura continued, "My dear Lord, You (Krsna) are always situated in uncontaminated goodness (suddha-sattva)"
- All these actions of suddha-sattva (the full opulences of knowledge, wealth, prowess, etc.) display the potencies of Maha-sankarsana, who is the ultimate reservoir of all individual living entities who are suffering in the material world
- Although pure goodness, or suddha-sattva, is the basic principle in the spiritual world, pure manifestation of goodness is not possible in this material world. Thus, the struggle for existence between different material qualities is always present
- Although the Lord is unborn (aja) and His body never undergoes material changes, He nevertheless appears as an incarnation, maintaining Himself always in the transcendental stage - suddha-sattva
H
- He (Srila Jiva Gosvami) explains that astottara-sata (108) is added to the name of the spiritual master to indicate one who is situated in suddha-sattva, or in the transcendental state of vasudeva
- Here (SB 3.15.47) it is confirmed that all the variegatedness of the absolute platform is constituted of suddha-sattva, pure goodness. In the material world, any quality - goodness, passion or ignorance - is contaminated
I
- If you keep yourself on the suddha-sattva-guna, then you will be able to convert others to become devotees. Therefore it is not difficult. It is very easy also
- In the material mode of goodness there are sometimes tinges of the modes of passion and ignorance, but in the suddha sattva stage there is only pure love of God or pure mode of goodness, that is the difference
- In the material world there cannot be anything good. It is bad. If there is real goodness, that is spiritual world, suddha-sattva. Sattva-guna
- In the material world, affection is contaminated by rajo-guna and tamo-guna, but in the suddha-sattva the affection that maintains the devotees is transcendental
- In the material world, the mode of goodness is considered to be representative of the highest perfection, but one has to transcend this mode and come to the stage of suddha-sattva, or pure goodness, where the three qualities of material nature cannot act
- In the spiritual sky there is a spiritual creative energy technically called suddha-sattva, which is a pure spiritual energy that sustains all the Vaikuntha planets with the full opulences of knowledge, wealth, prowess, etc
- In the spiritual world the unalloyed quality of goodness prevails; there the quality of goodness is called suddha-sattva, pure goodness. Another name for suddha-sattva is vasudeva because God is born from Vasudeva
- In the suddha-sattva status there is no infringement of the other qualities, namely passion and ignorance
- In this material world the goodness may be contaminated with the other qualities, but in the spiritual world it is so good, it is called suddha-sattva. There is no contamination. There is no tinge of rajo-guna and tamo-guna. That is spiritual quality
- In this material world, even the mode of goodness (sattva-guna) is contaminated by tinges of rajo-guna and tamo-guna. When sattva-guna is never contaminated by rajo-guna and tamo-guna, it is called suddha-sattva
O
- One conception is in the darkness of the threefold qualities of material nature - goodness, passion and ignorance - and the other is in the pure state of goodness, called suddha-sattva or vasudeva
- One is advised to be situated in suddha-sattva-guna, devotional service, for thus one is immune to the reactions of the three modes of material nature
- One must come to the platform of suddha-sattva, transcending the sattva-guna. Then one is vidhuta-trilinga, cleansed of the contamination caused by the three modes of material nature. This is possible by the mercy of Krsna
- One must conquer the modes of passion and ignorance by developing the mode of goodness, and then one must become detached from the mode of goodness by promoting oneself to the platform of suddha-sattva
- Only in this suddha-sattva state can one always see Krsna eye to eye by dint of pure affection for the Lord
- Out of causeless mercy, the Lord appears in different ages in His original suddha-sattva transcendental body to elevate human society to the spiritual platform upon which they can truly benefit
S
- Sattvam visuddham vasudeva-sabditam (SB 4.3.23). That (suddha-sattva) is the platform of vasudeva, whereby the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Vasudeva, can be experienced
- Since this suddha-sattva (Transcendental) existence is under the direct action of the internal potency, in this state the activities of material consciousness stop
- Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti states that the word sukla means "consisting of suddha-sattva." Lord Visnu descends in His suddha-sattva form. Suddha-sattva refers to the sattva-guna which is never contaminated
- Suddha-sattva means pure goodness. Now here the sense of goodness, "I am very good," this is mixed with the quality of passion. I am thinking, I am feeling proud of my goodness - therefore ASA there is pride, it is mixed up with the quality of passion
- Suddha-sattva, as described in this verse (SB 4.3.23), is the transcendental position, which is technically called vasudeva
T
- That is called suddha-sattva, or vasudeva, because in that stage the Supreme Person, Krsna, is revealed in the heart of the devotee. Srila Jiva Gosvami has very nicely described this vasudeva, or suddha-sattva, in his Bhagavat-sandarbha
- The activities of devotional service are suddha-sattva; in other words, they are on the transcendental platform. Only by devotional service can one understand the Supreme
- The condition of pure goodness (suddha-sattva), in which the Supreme Personality of Godhead is revealed without any covering, is called vasudeva
- The description of the spiritual world is that there is no rajas-tamah. These modes of passion and modes of ignorance is not there. Suddha-sattva. Suddha-sattva means simply goodness, pure goodness, without any tinge of passion and ignorance
- The devotee is fixed at once in the mode of goodness, and he makes further progress to rise to the position of Vasudeva, or the state of unmixed sattva, or suddha-sattva
- The effulgence came out from the python's body and became purified, attaining spiritual suddha-sattva, freedom from material contamination, because Krsna had stayed within the serpent's body, even after the serpent's death
- The essential portion of the sandhini potency is suddha-sattva. Lord Krsna's existence rests upon it
- The Lord and His devotees reside in the Vaikuntha planets, and they are of the same transcendental quality, namely, suddha-sattva, the mode of pure goodness
- The quadruple forms have a spiritual existence that can be realized in vasudeva-sattva (suddha-sattva), or unqualified goodness, which accompanies complete absorption in the understanding of Vasudeva
- The SPG is situated in pure goodness (suddha-sattva), & therefore He is eka-varna - the omkara (pranava). Because the Lord is beyond the cosmic manifestation, which is considered to be darkness, He is not visible to material eyes
- The stage of transcendental qualification is called suddha-sattva, or vasudeva, and in this stage the science of God can be realized
- The transcendental stage is called suddha-sattva. Sattva-guna is goodness, and the platform where the other qualities cannot contaminate even the quality of goodness, that is the stage of devotion
- The vasudeva manifestation, or the status of understanding the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is called pure goodness, or suddha-sattva
- The word su-sattva means suddha-sattva, the transcendental stage beyond material goodness. By his exemplary prayers, Lord Siva teaches us that our best course it to take shelter of Lord Visnu and His Vaisnava devotees
- There are three modes of material nature - goodness, passion and ignorance - and above material nature, transcendental to material nature, is another existence, which is called suddha-sattva
- There is a vivid description (in the Bhagavat-sandarbha) of the transcendental position known as suddha-sattva
- These activities (of devotional service) are called sattva or suddha-sattva. In the material world, activities of goodness, which are symptomatic of a pure brahmana, are appreciated
- They (the devotees) are above goodness! Suddha-sattva. The devotees are not in this material world. They are in the spiritual world
- This (Krsna's being transcendental to material conception) is expressed in the Srimad-Bhagavatam as suddha-sattva, or transcendental
- This state of existence (of being fully Krsna conscious) is called suddha-sattva, which means that it is transcendental to the material qualities
- Transcendental, not only knowledge but practical application of knowledge in life. That is called suddha-sattva. There must be God, that is theoretical knowledge. Practical knowledge is when you engage yourself in the service of the Lord
W
- We can see that there is no darkness in the sun planet. It is all glowing effulgence. Similarly, in the spiritual world there is no ignorance. Everyone is suddha-sattva. Not only sattva-guna, but suddha-sattva
- We should always know that when Krsna and Lord Caitanya appeared, They appeared in suddha-sattva bodies
