Theme Analysis
Śrīla Prabhupāda emphasizes that the material world is suffering deeply for want of Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Without this spiritual vision, humanity remains in the darkness of sinful life, divided by national borders and victimized by impersonal philosophies. However, for one who awakens to this supreme necessity, the mere sincere desire to become Kṛṣṇa conscious is a transcendental state of its own. Śrīla Prabhupāda compares the initial desire and the mature realization to a green mango and a ripe mango; they are the same in essence, only differing in maturity. A pure devotee, having experienced the relief that comes from devotional service, naturally develops an intense desire to share this gift with others, establishing ideal communities and preaching the science of God to dispel the darkness of the modern age.
