- The purificatory process, we are taking the essence of all Vedic literatures, that four principles, namely: no illicit sex, no intoxication, no meat-eating and no gambling. This is called tapasya
- The sinful activities are summarized in four principles: no illicit sex, no meat-eating, no gambling, no intoxication. - I am chanting Hare Krsna mantra, even if I commit some sinful activity it will be counteracted, because harinama is so strong
- There is concession. The concession is that you live a pure life and chant Hare Krsna mantra. This will make sufficient. A pure life: no illicit sex, no intoxication, no meat-eating, no gambling. This is pure life
- These (no illicit sexual connection, no intoxication, no meat-eating and no gambling) are the four minimum regulations for the execution of any yoga system. And in this age who can refrain from these activities
- They (these boys and girls) agreed, "No illicit sex, no meat-eating, no intoxication, no gambling. If you are prepared, then I accept you." They are prepared. They have given up. I accept them. That's all
- This (following the Vedic principles of no intoxication, gambling, meat-eating, or illicit Sex) then is the purificatory process by which one can become a brahmana. This path is open to everyone
- This is our process, no illicit sex, no meat eating, no intoxication, no gambling. Unless one is married, there is no sex. And unless one is going to beget child, there is no sex. Not for pleasure. This is our regulative principle
- This is yama and niyama, that you don't have illicit sex life, don't eat meat, don't take intoxication, don't engage yourself in gambling, and observe ekadasi fasting, janmastami, chant Hare Krsna. So our method is very simple. Everyone can follow
- This promise (whatever I'll speak in this court, it is all truth) the judge knows, and he gives his judgment on that. Similarly, these promises (no illicit sex, no meat-eating, no gambling, no intoxication) must be kept; otherwise it will be useless

- We are introducing this tapasya in nutshell. We are asking our students four principles, four regulative principles. No illicit sex life. Beyond marriage life, there is no sex. No intoxication, up to smoking and drinking tea. No meat-eating. No gambling
- We are recommending no illicit sex, no intoxication, no gambling, no meat-eating. So those who are accustomed to these bad habits - for them, in the beginning it may be a little difficult. But in spite of this difficulty, one has to do it. That is tapasya

- We prescribe to our students no illicit sex-life, no meat-eating, no intoxication, no gambling, but they are not ends in themselves; the real end is how to serve Krishna and sacrifice everything for Him
- We prescribe, "No illicit sex, no meat-eating, no intoxication, no gambling." These are the four pillars of sinful life. If we avoid these thing, then we can stay on the platform of purity. And God consciousness, KC, is based on this morality
- We say there is no illicit sex life, no intoxication, no meat eating, no gambling, so if Maharishi says there is no restrictions, naturally large number of people will follow him. That means they want to be cheated, and Krishna sends them a cheater
