- A brahmana can serve the Lord by using his intelligence, and the ksatriya can serve the Supreme Lord by using his military arts, just as Arjuna served Krsna. Arjuna was a warrior; he had no time to study Vedanta or other highly intellectual books
- A desire to serve the Lord, the supreme predominator, is spiritual or transcendental, and one has to attain this purification of the mind and the senses to get admission into the spiritual kingdom
- A devotee in this material world uses all material opulences for the service of the Lord because he is planning how to serve the Lord with these opulences, as advised by the Lord Himself
- A devotee is one who has no other motive for reciting Bhagavad-gita & Srimad-Bhagavatam than to serve the Lord. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu has therefore advised us to hear the glories of the Lord from a realized person - bhagavata paro diya bhagavata sthane
- A devotee knows how to utilize everything in the service of the Lord, and this is characteristic of the maha-bhagavata
- A devotee should execute his devotional services with full energy, endurance, and confidence. He should perform his scheduled duties, he should be pure in heart, and he should serve in association with devotees
- A Krsna conscious person wants only to serve the foremost yogi, Yogesvara (varimnah sarva-yoginam). Because we are trying to become His devotees, we accept the Supreme Lord, Yogesvara, as the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- A liberated person like the Kumaras becomes angry when restricted in the discharge of duties for serving the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- A living being, being the part and parcel of the supreme whole purusam purnam, has as his natural function to serve the Supreme Being, just as the parts and parcels of the body, or the limbs of the body, are naturally meant to serve the complete body
- A living entity, when he cannot serve God, that is his material condition, or unhealthy condition. When he serves God, that is his natural condition. Because he's part and parcel of God
- A nitya-siddha never forgets the service of the Lord. He is always engaged, even from childhood, in worshiping the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- A person acting in KC (or, in other words, in the service of Krsna) with his body, mind, intelligence and words is a liberated person even within the material world, although he may be engaged in many so-called material activities. BG 1972 purports
- A person who directly applies these nine principles (hearing, chanting, remembering, etc.) in the service of the Lord is to be understood as a greatly learned man who has assimilated the Vedic literatures very well - SB 7.5.24
- A person who is always engaged in the service of the Lord or is always thinking and planning how to serve the Lord is to be considered completely liberated at present and in the future. His going home, back to Godhead, is guaranteed. BG 1972 purports
- A person who is not yet a devotee of the Supreme Personality of Godhead but who desires to serve the Supreme Lord receives the benedictions of the demigods, headed by the chief demigod, Lord Siva
- A pure devotee who is always engaged in KC can sacrifice everything for the service of the Lord. One who has dedicated his life to the service of Lord Caitanya, Krsna and the spiritual master, is a devotee and cannot be compared to professional men
- A saintly person may either live or die, for during his life he is engaged in serving the Lord and after his death he also serves the Lord. Thus this life and the next are the same for a saintly devotee, for in both he serves the Lord
- A surrendered soul serves Krsna without material considerations
- A Vaisnava who is fully qualified to serve the Lord still thinks himself extremely low while offering prayers to the Lord
- A Vaisnava wishes to worship God as He is and retain his separate individuality to serve Him, whereas the Mayavadi impersonal philosopher wishes to lose his individuality and merge into the existence of the Supreme
- According to the Vedic way of civilization, one should leave his family after attaining fifty years of age and go to the forest of Vrndavana to devote the rest of his life to the service of the Lord
- Activity is successful if it results in serving the Lord. Philosophical speculation or mental speculation is successful when engaged in understanding the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The senses are worth possessing when engaged in the service of God
- Actually the only religion is the religion of surrender unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead. We must serve the Lord in Krsna consciousness
- Actually we should serve God and then everything will be taken care of. This is not some sectarian faith but it is eternal truth
- After being released from one’s sinful reactions (karma), one becomes eager to serve the Lord. This is the test. Since the Muslim governor was immediately purified in the presence of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, he could utter the names of Krsna and Hari
- After being trained to serve the Lord in various capacities in that prakata-lila, the devotee is finally promoted to sanatana-dhama, the supreme abode in the spiritual world
- After installing the Deity of Gopala, Madhavendra Puri initiated all the brahmanas into Vaisnavism. He then allotted the brahmanas different types of service to the Deity
- Ahaituky apratihata: unconditional devotional service cannot be checked by any material condition. This means that one does not have to be very rich to serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- All of them (deities of the temple of the pancopasana) are to be accepted as personal demigods, but they all serve the order of the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- All sacrifices are meant to please the Supreme Lord. The living entities who know this perfectly well are called demigods, godly or almost God. Since the living entity is part & parcel of the Supreme Lord, it is his duty to serve the Lord and please Him
- All the demigods are different parts of the Lord, and if we offer service to them, we actually serve the Lord Himself
- All the inhabitants of Ayodhya who saw Lord Ramacandra as citizens, served Him as servants, sat and talked with Him as friends or were somehow or other present during His reign went back home, back to Godhead
- All the living entities who are in this material world, they have rebelled. They have refused to give service. And they are all put into this material world. And in this material world there are different varieties of living entities
- All these great devotees served the Lord according to a particular process, but every one of them attained salvation and became eligible to return home, back to Godhead. This is explained in Srimad-Bhagavatam
- Although each and every queen had thousands of maidservants engaged for her service, the queens were all personally attentive in serving Krsna. Each one of them used to receive Krsna personally when He entered the palace
- Anadrta-yusmad-anghrayah. The impersonalists do not think that the service of the Lord is more valuable than serving the poor man or starting a school or hospital
- And for His material creative energies, He (the Lord) is served by four, namely the principles of prakrti, purusa, mahat-tattva and ego
- Another significant feature in this verse is that only the Lord, and no one else, is to be served. That is confirmed in the Bhagavad-gita - 18.66 mam ekam saranam vraja
- Anyone can serve the Supreme Lord by performing his prescribed duties under the direction of a spiritual master, or representative of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. No one should think that his prescribed duties are inferior
- Anyone who attempts to serve Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu sincerely by following in His footsteps and following the instructions of the acaryas will successfully be able to preach the holy names of the Hare Krsna maha-mantra all over the universe
- Anyone who has no other interest but to dedicate his life to the service of the Lord is actually a sannyasi. BG 1972 purports
- Anyone who serves the Lord sincerely with love and affection is certainly instructed by the Lord from within
- Apahrta-jnanah. His real knowledge is taken away. He does not know that he is small, God is great, his business is to serve God. This knowledge is taken away
- As by pouring water on the root of the tree one serves and enlivens all the branches and leaves, so by rendering service unto the Supreme Lord one automatically serves every god and goddess without extraneous effort
- As confirmed in Bhagavad-gita (6.41), they (the transcendentalists) are allowed to take their next birth either in the family of a bona fide brahmana or in the family of a rich merchant who is devoted to the service of Godhead
- As Guru Maharaja Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati used to say - Don't try to see God. Is God to come and stand before us like a servant just because we want to see Him? That is not the submissive way. We have to oblige Him by our love and service
- As Rupa Gosvami points out, we have to serve Krsna favorably. Generally we want to serve God for some material purpose or gain
- As soon as the problem is finished, they forget God: no more church, no more temple. You see? That is not devotion. Devotion is that, "No problem. I am ready to serve You, my Lord." That is life
- As soon as you engage yourself in the service of Vasudeva with love and faith - that is being taught in Krsna consciousness, with love and faith - then Vasudeva is already there. He knows what you are
- As stated before, we must search out one who has seen the Absolute Truth and surrender to him and serve him. When this is done, there is no doubt about one's spiritual salvation
- As stated in Srimad-Bhagavatam (SB 7.5.23), there are nine kinds of devotional service: hearing, chanting, remembering, serving, worship of the Deity, praying, carrying out orders, serving Him as a friend and sacrificing everything for the Lord
- As stated in the Bhagavad-gita (BG 10.10), dadami buddhi-yogam tam yena mam upayanti te. Since a devotee writes in service to the Lord, the Lord from within gives him so much intelligence that he sits down near the Lord and goes on writing books
- As such, in that transcendental ecstasy it so happened that the senses became separately enlivened to serve the Lord. This being so, Narada Muni lost himself in seeing both himself and the Lord simultaneously
- Asa-bandhah samutkantha nama-gane sada rucih (CC Madhya 23.18-19). This is the sign of pure, advanced devotee. He's never disappointed. Ahaituki. There is no motive. "My Lord is there. My duty is to serve." That's all
- At dasya-rati stage, there is an awakening of natural affection, such as is felt by a son who grows up and begins to appreciate his father's benedictions. At this stage the living entity wants to serve the Supreme Lord instead of serving maya, illusion
- At that time (when the living being realizes he is the servant of the senses) he begs for the service of the Lord and thus becomes happy without being illusioned by so-called material happiness
- At that time there is an awakening of natural affection, such as is felt by a son who grows up and begins to appreciate his father's benedictions. At this stage the living entity wants to serve the Supreme Lord instead of serving maya, illusion
- Atma-nivedanam. The word Atma-nivedanam refers to the stage at which one who has no motive other than to serve the Lord surrenders everything to the Lord and performs his activities only to please the Supreme Personality of Godhead
B
- Because they constantly engage in the transcendental service of the Lord, it is natural to conclude that their senses are also transcendental, for one cannot serve the Lord with material senses
- Because we know rightly, and as we are part and parcel of God, minute particles, therefore our duty is to serve God
- Becoming one with the brahmajyoti does not represent mature knowledge. Only by surrendering unto the Lord completely and developing one's sense of spiritual service does one reach the highest perfectional stage
- BG gives us that knowledge (of the self & the Supreme Self), specifically knowledge of the self. The living entities are parts and parcels of the Lord, and therefore they are simply meant to serve the Lord. This consciousness is called KC. BG 1972 pur
- Bhajanty ananya-manasah: they have no other motive than to render service to the Lord. That's all. This is the symptom of mahatma. No motive, no gain, no exchange. Simply to serve the Lord
- Bhakti means to serve Hrsikesa by the hrsika. Hrsika means senses. Krsna is the master of the senses, and therefore, whatever senses I have got, the master is Krsna, proprietor is Krsna
- Bilvamangala Thakura realized that if one develops his natural devotional service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, mukti stands before him with folded hands to offer all kinds of service
- Both while in the material body and after giving it up, a devotee attains the highest perfection in service to the Lord
- Brahma satyam jagan mithya: The Mayavadis think that the world is false, but the Vaisnava sannyasis do not think like this. Vaisnavas say - Why should the world be false? It is reality, & it is meant for the service of the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Brahmaji could understand the Lord to a little extent only when he was trying to serve Him by the eagerness of his heart (hrdautkanthyavata), which is the devotional service mood
- Brahmana refers to one who knows Brahman, or the impersonal feature of the Absolute Truth, and a Vaisnava is one who serves the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- By carrying out the orders of the Lord, the conditioned living beings gradually become free from the clutches of material existence. The factual position of the living being is that he is the eternal servitor of the Supreme Lord
- By knowing ourselves as minute particles, part and parcel of God, we can understand that our duty is to serve God
- By offering food to the Deity and by decorating and serving the Deity, one gets the same result that one derives from serving the Lord personally in Vaikuntha
- By serving God, nobody is loser. He serves himself, he serves his country, he serves his family, he serves the human society, he serves the living entity - everyone
- By serving Krsna, all my objective, all my perfection is there - this conviction makes you perfect. And this is real, this is reality. There is no imposition. It is reality. Simply one has to understand
- By serving the great, the mahatmas also become great through identifying with the superior energy: (aham brahmasmi) "I am Brahman-spirit." It is not that they become puffed up and think that they are God
- By serving the Lord, one renders the best service to his family, because twenty-one generations are liberated if one becomes a pure Vaisnava
- By such transcendental devotional service (under the direction of the spiritual master), the Lord is served. I (Gajendra) offer my respectful obeisances unto Him
- By worshiping Lord Visnu one can get whatever he desires, but a pure devotee never asks Lord Visnu for any material profit. Instead he serves Lord Visnu without material desires and is therefore ultimately transferred to the spiritual kingdom
C
- Caitanya continues, "This is the natural result of intense love of Godhead. The devotee does not consider personal inconveniences or impediments. In all circumstances he wants to serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead"
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu doesn't care whether He is liberated or not: His only concern is to be engaged in Krsna consciousness, to serve the Supreme Lord
- Chanting is kirtana, and hearing SB. Hearing and chanting and serving and worshiping, and if possible to live in a sacred place like Vrndavana and Mathura. These five things are recommended by Caitanya for quick advancement of spiritual life, very quick
- Confidential knowledge can be understood only by the pure devotees, and only such devotees enter the kingdom of God to see Him personally and serve Him personally
D
- Devotees are always thinking about how to serve Him; they are always designing ways and means to serve the Supreme Lord, even in the midst of the greatest obstacles of material existence
- Devotees like Arjuna are constant companions of the Lord, and whenever the Lord incarnates, the associate devotees also incarnate in order to serve the Lord in different capacities. Arjuna is one of these devotees. BG 1972 purports
- Devotional service comprises nine prescribed practices - hearing, chanting, remembering, worshiping, serving, offering everything to the Deity, etc
- Devotional service to the Lord consists essentially of nine transcendental activities: 6) offering prayers to the Lord, (7) serving the Lord, (8) enjoying friendly association with the Lord, and (9) surrendering everything unto the Lord
- Do not eat luxurious dishes or dress in fine garments, but always remain humble and serve Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha-Krsna in your heart of hearts
- Duties executed by the Lord for His devotee are always very pleasing to the Lord because the Lord wants to render service to His unalloyed devotee, whose life has no other engagement than to serve the Lord with full love and devotion
E
- Either in this life or in the next, the only concern of saintly devotees (following in the footsteps of Narada Muni) is to serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Essentially there is no material difference between Goloka & Vaikuntha, but in Vaikuntha God is served in unlimited opulence, whereas in Goloka God is served in natural affection. This love of God is awakened by the association of pure devotees of God
- Even if one wants some material benefit from serving the Supreme Personality of Godhead, this can be achieved extremely easily, without hard labor
- Even the poorest man can equally serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead if he has pure devotion. If there is no ulterior motive, devotional service cannot be checked by any material condition
- Even though engaged in worldly affairs, he (the great devotee) does not take pleasure in them, but remains always absorbed in the Lord's service. While serving the Lord, he deals externally with worldly affairs without being affected
- Every living entity is part and parcel of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and thus every living entity is intended to serve the Supreme Lord by his own constitution. Failing to do this, he falls down. BG 1972 purports
- Every living entity should serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead by his prana (life), artha (wealth), intelligence and words
- Every living entity, being part of the Supreme Lord, is meant to serve the Lord, just as every part of the body is meant to serve the whole body
- Everyone is servant here, all of us present, but someone is serving maya, the illusion, and someone is serving the Supreme Lord
- Everyone is serving his senses. This is the position. This is dharmasya glanir bhavati. As soon as we are engaged in serving our senses, that is dharmasya glanih. And as soon as we agree to serve the senses of Krsna, that is dharma
- Everyone should do his occupational duty and try to serve the Lord by the result of his work. That should be the motto of life
- Everything must be executed with great enthusiasm. You must be very enthusiastic to serve Krsna
- Everywhere means in every part of the creation of the Lord. The Lord can be served by all the senses, or even simply by the mind. The South Indian brahmana who served the Lord simply on the strength of his mind also factually realized the Lord
F
- First deserve, then desire. So how a Krsna conscious person can be desireless? The first is desire: "I desire to serve Krsna." That is the beginning. Then Krsna will give you chance, as you deserve. This is the process
- For a neophyte devotee there are two kinds of persons whose association is undesirable: (2) unbelievers who do not serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead but serve their senses and their mental whims in terms of their speculative habits
- For devotional service nobody should be anxious to get some material power. Rather, we should be always anxious to acquire how we can advance our anxiety, our eagerness, to serve the Lord
- For His material creative energies, He is served by four, namely the principles of prakrti, purusa, mahat-tattva and ego
- For such a devotee (who is constantly engaged in service) there is nothing valuable to be achieved but the Lord's service. If one serves faithfully, there is no possibility of frustration because the Lord Himself takes charge of the devotee's advancement
- Forgetting this principle (that they are eternal servant of God), the living entity becomes conditioned by material nature, but in serving the Supreme Lord, he becomes the liberated servant of God
- From every position, as confirmed in Bhagavad-gita, sva-karmana tam abhyarcya: (BG 18.46) one can serve the Supreme Lord by performing one's prescribed duty. It is not that only the brahmanas can serve the Supreme Lord and not the sudras
- From time immemorial the nitya-mukta living entity has always been a devotee of Krsna, and his only attempt has been to serve Krsna. Thus he never forgets his eternal servitorship to Krsna
G
- God is God, and the living entity is the living entity. God is supreme and infinite; we are infinitesimal. Our position is to serve God, and when we act according to our position, we become happy
- God is neither Hindu nor Muslim nor Christian. God is God. God is one. But according to time and climate, condition, the method of approaching God may be different, but the ultimate end is how to love God or how to serve God
- God is one, all living entities are His eternal servants, and therefore, the real religious system is to learn how to serve God
- God is served by the sixteen, namely the five elements (earth, water, air, fire & sky), the five perceptive sense organs (the eye, ear, nose, tongue & skin), & the five working sense organs (hand, leg, stomach, evacuation outlet & genitals), & the mind
- Great demigods like Lord Brahma and Lord Siva always worship the Lord by meditation and by service
H
- He (a pure devotee of the Lord) is not afraid of going to hell for the service of the Lord, nor is he glad to live in heaven without the service of the Lord
- He (Caitanya) accepted the brahmana’s version due to his determination to serve Mukunda
- He (Dhruva Maharaja) said, svamin krtartho 'smi varam na yace: (CC Madhya 22.42) My dear Lord, I am fully satisfied with whatever You have given me or not given me. I have nothing to ask from You, for I am fully satisfied to be engaged in Your service
- He (Durvasa Muni) did not have very good intelligence, and how can an unintelligent person be delivered by the SPG? The Lord certainly tries to give all protection to His devotees who have given up everything for the sake of serving Him
- He (God) can be served simply by hearing, He can be served simply by chanting or reading about His activities, He can be served simply by adoring Him and accepting Him
- He (God) is the Supreme Person, yet He is very kind to the devotees. No one is competent to serve the Lord, but even if a devotee is not competent, the merciful Lord accepts the humble attempt of the devotee
- He (Lord Krsna) does not require anyone's extraneous help for His personal satisfaction. Therefore, the queens could not satisfy the Lord by their feminine attractiveness, but they satisfied Him by their sincere affection and service
- He (maha-bhagavata) knows how to serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead and how to respect a Vaisnava
- He (Rupa Gosvami) did not care for his comfortable position as minister; he was happy even beneath a tree in Vrndavana, favorably serving the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This is the difference between a devotee and a nondevotee
- He (the conditioned soul) is actually meant to serve the will of the Supreme Lord, but on account of the dirty things in the heart, he likes to serve his concocted desires
- He (the devotee) is unlike either the deluded fruitive worker or the baffled empiricist. He is above these servants of material nature because he prefers to serve God, the master of material nature. He seeks the substance and does not wish to give it up
- He (the impersonalist) comes down to open hospitals and educational institutions, feed poor men and perform similar materialistic activities, which the impersonalist thinks are more precious than serving the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- He (young brahmana) wanted only to serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead and the older brahmana, who was also a Vaisnava and very much devoted to the Lord
- Here (in SB 3.23.2) two words are very significant. Devahuti served her husband in two ways, visrambhena and gauravena. These are two important processes in serving the husband or the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Here (in SB 8.24.15) is an example of giving service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead even without knowledge. Such service is called ajnata-sukrti
- Here in the material world we serve somebody with a motive, for some material gain. But in the spiritual world, to serve God means - It is my duty. I love him. I want to serve Him
- Here is the person, Supreme Personality of Godhead. If you serve Krsna, then your senses become satisfied. Therefore His name is Govinda. Actually, we want to serve our senses, but the real senses, the transcendental senses, is Krsna, Govinda
- His (a living entity's) constitutional position is to serve (God). After liberation, this service is never stopped. Actual liberation is getting free from misconceptions of life. BG 1972 purports
- How can service to the Absolute Truth be executed? Yamena niyamena ca: the practice of yoga, or linking with the supreme, is based on the principles of regulation and control
- How can that spiritual enjoyment be achieved? One should absorb himself in serving the SG, who gives the pleasure of liberation. We should turn our attention to achieving the lotus feet of Krsna, who can give us liberation from this material world
- However the devotee likes to serve the Lord, he may constantly think of the Lord's associates - the cowherd boys, the gopis, the Lord's father and mother, His servants and the trees, land, animals, plants and water in the Lord's abode
- Hrsikena hrsikesa-sevanam bhaktir ucyate (CC Madhya 19.170). By serving the Lord, one’s senses are gradually purified. The engagement of one’s purified senses in the service of Lord Hrsikesa is called bhakti
I
- I (King Kulasekhara) do pray for this most cherished boon: birth after birth, let me render unflinching devotional service unto Your (God's) two lotus feet
- I am happy to note that you are all trying to serve the Deities more and more nicely. Please go on in this attitude and such efforts in devotional service will become the greatest pleasure or Krishna Consciousness
- I am spirit soul, part and parcel of the Supreme Lord. As soon as the mind is contaminated, I rebel, because I have got little independence. "Why shall I serve Krsna or God? I am God." It is simply a dictation from the mind
- I explained the Rupa Gosvami sloka, verse, that to purchase these feelings of devotional service, the attitude of devotional service, is to become too much eager how I shall be able to serve the Lord. That is the only price; not this material acquisition
- If a living entity simply understands that his constitutional position is to serve Krsna and he tries to act on this principle, then however conditioned he may be, the influence of maya immediately vanishes
- If he (the living entity) serves the Supreme Lord, he is in his normal condition, but if he prefers to serve the illusory external energy, then certainly he will be in bondage. BG 1972 purports
- If I am part and parcel of God, my duty is to serve. This example I have given you many times: Just like this finger is the part and parcel of my body. So what is the duty of this finger? The duty of the finger is to serve the whole body, that's all
- If I make a motive that, "I shall render service to the Lord so that I will be very much satisfied . . ." No. No. That, that becomes motivated, that "I will be satisfied," that is the first consideration. There should be no motive at all
- If one develops this laulyam, or excessive eagerness for meeting and serving the Lord in a particular way, that is the price to enter into the kingdom of God
- If one does not completely devote his mind and body to the service of the Lord, he does not actually become a sannyasi. It is not simply a matter of changing dress
- If one engages for the service of the Lord whatever money one has honestly earned, that is spiritual service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the spiritual master and the Vaisnavas
- If one gradually gives up his hereditary customs and duties and tries to serve the SP of Godhead in his natural position, he is gradually able to become free from these activities, and he attains the stage of niskama, freedom from material desires
- If one is determined that "I shall stick to the service of Krsna," maya will not touch. That is kevala bhakti. If sometimes it appears that he has deviated out of past habit, that is excused
- If one is not situated in the same transcendental position with the Lord, one cannot serve the Supreme Lord. To be a personal assistant to a king, one must acquire the qualifications. BG 1972 purports
- If one poses himself as an acarya but does not have an attitude of servitorship to the Lord, he must be considered an offender, and this offensive attitude disqualifies him from being an acarya
- If one somehow or other becomes Krsna conscious by applying his senses in the service of the Lord, one is immediately freed from material contamination. Such are the effects of Krsna consciousness
- If the devotee is determined to serve the Lord, the Lord is always prepared to help him - dadami buddhi-yogam tam yena mam upayanti te
- If there is a chance to serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead, a pure devotee sometimes accepts the salokya, sarupya, samipya or sarsti forms of liberation, but never sayujya
- If there were no desire, then the living entity would be a dead stone. Srila Narottama dasa Thakura, therefore, advises that one turn his desire towards serving the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Then desire becomes purified
- If we become cent percent dependent and serve Him faithfully under His order or His representative's order, then the success is sure. Sevanurupa. Sevanurupam udayo. Udayo - It becomes manifest
- If we simply try to explain how Krsna is great, how God is great, that is sufficient service. That is complete service: sravanam kirtana
- If you actually serve God, then you will understand, - God is dictating to me. God is there. I am seeing God
- If you are serving for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, why He will not supply you? Krsna is supplying food to everyone, those who are not devotee, and why not to the devotees? What we have done?
- If you change your consciousness that, "I have never been satisfied, happy, by giving service to the maya. Now let me serve Krsna," that is your liberation
- Iha, in this life, our only duty is to understand the bhagavata-dharma, how to serve God. That is the only business. There is no other business. That is the only business of human life
- In a temple of jewels in Vrndavana, underneath a desire tree, Sri Sri Radha-Govinda, served by Their most confidential associates, sit upon an effulgent throne. I offer my humble obeisances unto Them - CC Antya 1.6
- In a temple of jewels in Vrndavana, underneath a desire tree, Sri Sri Radha-Govinda, served by Their most confidential associates, sit upon an effulgent throne. I offer my humble obeisances unto Them - CC Madhya 1.4
- In all other business, there is no question of pleasing Krsna. When one nation declares war upon another, there is no question of pleasing Krsna or serving Krsna. They're pleasing their own senses, serving their own whims
- In Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu, Srila Rupa Gosvami thus instructs that if one's only desire is service to the Lord, he is liberated in any condition of life
- In material consciousness, his (living entity's) nature is to try to be the lord of matter, but in spiritual (Krsna) consciousness, his position is to serve the Supreme. BG 1972 purports
- In order to fix the purified mind in the service of the Supreme Lord, one has to worship the spotless moon, Gauracandra
- In pure devotional service one simply serves the Supreme Personality of Godhead as a matter of duty, without reason and without being impeded by material conditions
- In such a position (of loving God) a yogi has no other thought than to serve the Lord. This dovetailing of the mind with the desires of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is called nirvana, or making the mind one with the Supreme Lord
- In the beginning the mind is employed in attracting the form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but in the higher stages there is no question of using the mind. A devotee becomes accustomed to serving the Supreme Lord by purification of his senses
- In the Bhagavad-gita it is stated that one can serve the Lord by offering the result of one's own work; it does not matter what one does. Generally men may say that whatever they are doing is inspired by God, but that is not all
- In the conditioned state, such services (to God) are rendered by the living being under force of the material nature, whereas in the liberated state the living being is helped by the spiritual nature in the voluntary loving service of the Lord
- In the lower stage of devotion, one may be interested in Krsna consciousness, but his real interest is how to improve this material life. Just like: "O God, give us our daily bread." So he has gone to God not to serve God, but to take bread
- In the material world one is always a servant of a greater person, and in the spiritual world our constitutional position is to serve the Supreme, the greatest, param brahma. This is the instruction of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu
- In the material world one serves another for matter of money exchange, reward. But serving God is not that. Here it is stated, ahaituky apratihata. Service of God is without motive
