- According to the Gopala-tapani Upanisad, the Lord showed one of the many thousands of petals of His lotus feet. It is said: brahmano'sav anavaratam me dhyatah stutah parardhante so 'budhyata gopa-veso me purastat avirbabhuva
- Actually Krsna is not partial to anyone, but externally it appears that He is partial. This partiality (of Krsna on the battlefield showing some partiality and sides with Arjuna), however, should not be accepted in the ordinary sense
- Although Krsna is visva-vit, the knower of everything happening in the entire cosmic manifestation, as an innocent child He showed ignorance of Brahma's actions, although He could immediately understand that these were the doings of Brahma
- As the white incarnation, the Lord taught religion and meditation. He offered benedictions to Kardama Muni, and in this way He showed His causeless mercy
- As there were two incarnations of Varaha, there were also two incarnations of fish. The Lord appeared as one fish incarnation to save the Vedas by killing Hayagriva, and He assumed the other fish incarnation to show favor to King Satyavrata

- Balarama showed His power in such a way that all of Hastinapura trembled and would have been vanquished as if by a great earthquake. Then the matter was settled, and Samba married Duryodhana's daughter
- Bali Maharaja wanted to give charity to Vamanadeva, but the Lord expanded His body in such a way that He showed Bali Maharaja that everything in the universe is already in His body
- Because Lord Siva wanted to see Lord Visnu's form as a woman (Mohini-murti), Lord Visnu decided to impersonate a woman and show him a form that would immediately put him in an ocean of lusty desires
- Brahmaji was able to please the Lord, and the Lord was also pleased to show Brahmaji His personal abode

- God has a form just like a human being, two hands, two legs, and He Himself comes to show Him. That is Krsna. He is not nirakara. Isvarah paramah krsnah sac-cid-ananda-vigrahah (Bs. 5.1). Vigraha means form
- God personally comes to show you what is the position of God, and He has shown what is the meaning of God

- He (God) does not have to come Himself to destroy demons, for He has many agents; even the external energy, maya, has sufficient strength to kill them. But when He comes to show compassion to His devotees, He kills the nondevotees as a matter of course
- He (Nrsimhadeva) killed the king of the demons (Hiranyakasipu), who challenged the Lord with a club in his hand, by placing the demon on His thighs and piercing him with His nails, rolling His eyebrows in anger and showing His fearful teeth and mouth
- His (Lord Rsabha's) body was well structured, and He displayed all the transcendental qualities. He showed great influence, and He could control His mind and senses. Consequently He was named Rsabha, which indicates that He was the supreme living being

- If a devotee is not mature, the Supreme Lord will take away all his opulence. This principle is stated by the SP of Godhead-yasyaham anugrhnami harisye tad-dhanam sanaih: "My first mercy shown to My devotee is to take away all his material opulence."
- If one sincerely prays to God for material possessions in exchange for devotional service, the Lord, who is not foolish like such an unintelligent devotee, shows him special favor by taking away whatever material possessions he has
- In order to show specific favor to the devotee, directs the devotee from within in such a way that ultimately he is delivered from the entanglement of material existence
- In relation to the Supreme Brahman, the Personality of Godhead, whose glory had been shown by the manifestation of all the four-armed forms of Visnu, Lord Brahma, the lord of Sarasvati, was mystified - SB 10.13.57
- In this material world, we need a leader for a monarchy or good government. Lord Sri Ramacandra, by His practical example, showed how to live for the benefit of all human society
- In this verse (SB 9.10.11) the words stri-sanginam gatim iti indicate that the condition of a person attached to women was shown by the Lord Himself
- In this verse it is clearly mentioned that the Lord is ajanah, or the Supreme Person, and that He was showing His transcendental form (atmano rupam) to Brahmaji while instructing him in the summarization of Srimad-Bhagavatam in four verses

- Krsna led all the cowherd men, headed by Nanda Maharaja, to the lake where Akrura would later be shown the Vaikuntha planetary system. They took their bath immediately and saw the real nature of the Vaikunthalokas
- Krsna's showing the universal form of the S. P. of God, even when lying down on the lap of His mother, proves that God is always God, whether He is manifested as a child on the lap of His mother or as a charioteer on the Battlefield of Kuruksetra

- Lord Krsna and Lord Ramacandra, in the manner of ksatriyas, sometimes showed Their mercy by killing asuras, but Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu awarded love of God without difficulty even to the asuras
- Lord Ramacandra accepted only one wife and manifested sublime character, thus setting an example for householders. A householder should live according to the ideal of Lord Ramacandra, who showed how to be a perfect person
- Lord Ramacandra could have produced hundreds and thousands of Sitas from His pleasure energy, but just to show the duty of a faithful husband, He not only rescued Sita from the hands of Ravana but also killed Ravana and all the members of his family

- Lord Visnu told Lord Siva, "I will show you My form as a woman (Mohini-murti), and if you become agitated by lusty desires, do not blame Me"

- O best of the demigods, I (Lord Visnu) shall now show you (Siva) My form that is very much appreciated by those who are lusty. Since you want to see that form, I shall reveal it in your presence
- On the next day, Dvadasi, Nanda Maharaja went to take a bath in the Ganges and was arrested by one of the men of Varuna; then he was released by Lord Krsna. Then Nanda Maharaja, along with the cowherd men, was shown the spiritual sky
- One may ask why the Supreme Personality of Godhead could not detect Rahu. The reason is that the Lord wanted to show the effects of drinking nectar
- One should never neglect austerities and penances; one should always perform them. Lord Rsabhadeva personally showed us how to do this
- One should not mistakenly think that the Lord asked His younger brothers to leave Ayodhya because He especially favored the citizens. The Lord is merciful to everyone, and He knows how to show His favor to each individual person according to his capacity

- Sanjaya said to Dhrtarastra: The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna, while speaking thus to Arjuna, displayed His real four-armed form, and at last He showed him His two-armed form, thus encouraging the fearful Arjuna. BG 11.50 - 1972
- Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya informed his brother-in-law, Gopinatha Acarya, "The Supreme Personality of Godhead may not have shown mercy to me, but what is the proof of His having shown it to you? Kindly let us know about this"

- Since the devotees in the material world know almost nothing about these (free loving affairs) affairs, the Lord desires to show these affairs to them

- That a devotee (Jaya and Vijaya) should come into an atheistic family is surprising, but it is simply a show. After finishing their mock fighting, both the devotee and the Lord are again associated in the spiritual planets
- The causeless mercy You have shown to me, a fallen demon, was never achieved even by the demigods or the leaders of the various planets
- The form which I see is eternally freed from material contamination and has advented to show mercy to the devotees as a manifestation of internal potency

- The nails of Your lotus feet emanate such a great effulgence that they immediately dissipate all the darkness in the heart of a conditioned soul. Kindly show me that form of Yours which always dissipates all kinds of darkness in the heart of a devotee
- The Personality of Godhead, as an ideal king, showed this by example. Sri Ramacandra cut off the tie of affection for His beloved wife to manifest the qualities of an ideal king
- The same fact is confirmed here (in SB 3.28.17): He (God) is always anxious to show favor to the devotees
- The universal cosmic manifestation is also the virat-rupa that was shown to Arjuna in Bhagavad-gita. Therefore, since the Lord is present everywhere and all the time, He is the Absolute Truth and the greatest
- The yoga system for control of the mind and senses must be strictly followed. Lord Rsabhadeva showed how severe types of tapasya could be performed, and He set an example for all others
- Then, in the Satya-yuga, the lotus-eyed Supreme Personality of Godhead, being pleased, showed Himself to that Kardama Muni and displayed His transcendental form, which can be understood only through the Vedas
- There are instances in history of many asuras-Ravana, Kamsa, Hiranyakasipu-to whom the Lord appeared in various incarnations just to kill. Therefore God's mercy is shown to the asuras if they are fortunate enough to be killed by Him. BG 1972 purports
- These rascals, they do not know that his real self-interest is how to approach Visnu or Krsna. Krsna, Visnu, therefore comes personally just to show His causeless mercy upon them, to exhibit Himself, how He can be friend to everyone
- They're being punished every moment, every step, "No, God is not there." All right. Wait a few years more, God will show either you are dead or He's dead
- Those who are kanistha-adhikaris do not preach, but the Lord shows mercy to them also, as He did by staying personally in Ayodhya to give audience to the people in general

- Unlike ordinary living entities, the Supreme Lord is not forced by the modes of material nature to appear. He appears dharman darsayitu-kama - to show how to execute the functions of a human being
- Usually the features shown in the material world have no existence in the Vaikuntha planets, and thus they are not accepted by the pure devotees

- What is the meaning of Bhagavan, He has shown. Still, we are so unfortunate we cannot accept, because we are not free from the contamination
- When Ramacandra was angry and showed His red-hot eyes, the whole ocean became heated with that energy, so that the aquatics within the ocean felt the heat & the personified ocean trembled in fear and offered Him an easy path for reaching the enemy's city
- When the Lord heard that Bali Maharaja was performing asvamedha sacrifices under the patronage of brahmanas belonging to the Bhrgu dynasty, the Supreme Lord, who is full in every respect, proceeded there to show His mercy to Bali Maharaja
- When the Lord wants to take pleasure in pastimes, He comes down to this material world and acts like a human being, thus showing His wonderful, glorious activities to please the devotees
- Whenever there are kings and administrators living like animals in the lowest modes of existence, the Lord in His transcendental form manifests His supreme power, the Truth Positive, shows special mercy to the faithful
- Whether in the forest or at home, if one is attached to women this attachment is always troublesome, as shown by the Supreme Personality of Godhead by His personal example
