A
- A beautiful wife is an enemy. Of course every woman in the eyes of her husband is very beautiful. Others may see her as not very beautiful, but the husband, being very much attracted to her, sees her always as very beautiful
- A devotee minimizes his defending propensity. A pure devotee knows he is under the shelter of the all-powerful Supreme Lord, and so he is not very anxious about defending himself

- Papa-yoni means their intelligence is not very sharp. And a brahmana means to become very, very highly intellectual. Because he'll understand Brahman
- Papa-yoni. Papa-yoni means sinful species of life, or born in the family which is not very pious, papa-yoni. Or papa-yoni means lower species of life. So the demonic life is papa-yoni. Demonic life is obtained due to sinful activities
- People are not very serious. They're so much in ignorance: "All right, let it happen, whatever may happen. We may enjoy life." This is not very good position. At least in human form of life, one should be very sober, considerate (of) what is happening
- People are very short-living, and they are not very enthusiastic for self-realization. Manda. Even they, somebody becomes interested in self-realization, they accept some wrong path
- People have got short life, they are always disturbed. They are disturbed with material disturbances, diseases, and they are unfortunate also. They are not very fortunate
- Persons who are less intelligent think that when the Supreme Personality of Godhead comes within this material world He accepts the material qualities. Such conclusions are not very mature but are made by the less intelligent
- Persons who are not very highly elevated in pious activities cannot believe in the remnants of food (prasadam) of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, nor in Govinda, the holy name of the Lord, nor in the Vaisnavas
- Persons who are simply attached to the ritualistic portion of the Vedas and do not understand the situation of the Supreme Personality of Godhead are not any more advanced than animals
- Phalena pariciyate. We have to understand by the result. If the result is not very satisfactory, then you must know that progress is not very nice
- Putra has got a duty, to save the forefathers. Therefore one has to, it is his duty to keep a putra. At least one son he must leave. But people are not very much anxious to have putra. Rather to kill putra. They are so sinful

- Regarding the farm, farm opening is not very essential, but if you can do it conveniently, then do it. The varnasrama system is for convenience sake in the material world. It has nothing to do with spiritual life

- Sadhu means one who is fully engaged in the service of the Lord. He's sadhu. Api cet su-duracarah. Even if he's not very well behaved, su-duracara, still he's sadhu. Why? Bhajate mam ananya-bhak. He has no other business than to love Krsna

- Tapasya is not very severe thing. Tapasya means to abide by the orders of the sastra. Just like a diseased man, his tapasya is to abide by the orders of the physician. The physician says that - You do this; you do not do this
- That is not very essential. Essential is how to think of Krsna. Krsna says, man-mana bhava mad-bhaktah. He doesn't say that you become vegetarian

- The problem was that in India the men who joined the Gaudiya Math mission were not very educated. So I declined to bring them in the Western countries and by the grace of Krsna I was able to train the local men
- The real aim of life, how to get out of this bhavarnava, nescience, that is the aim of life. If we remain again like the monkeys and cats and dogs, eating, sleeping, mating and dancing, that is not very responsible life

- To become a spiritual master is not very wonderful thing. Simply one has to become sincere soul. That's all
- To become agitated is not very unusual thing, but to control it, that is the real thing
- To come to that platform of understanding of things as they are, that is not a very common thing, and therefore such persons who attain to it, they are described as - great souls
- To gain a position where there will be no fear, we have to accept a fearful method. So, in the material world whatever we think, they are not very happy proposition, that's everything is fear
- To have some little disagreements amongst yourselves is not very unnatural because we are all individual beings. But as we are all working on behalf of Krishna we should always forget our personal interests and see to the prime cause
- To renounce this world is not very big thing, because the world also created by God. So instead of renouncing, if we utilize this God-created material world for God's service, then it is spiritual
- To stand within water in winter, severe cold, is not very comfortable business, but they voluntarily accept it. This is called tapasya
- To understand Krsna is not very easy task. Krsna says, manusyanam sahasresu: "Out of millions and millions persons, kascid, someone may try to make his life successful, human life." Kascid yatati siddhaye

- Under the laws of karma a living entity wanders within the universe under the rule of eternal time, and sometimes he becomes a mosquito and sometimes Lord Brahma. To a sane man this business is not very fruitful

- We are not insisting that you chant Krsna. But if you have no specific name of God found in your authentic scripture, then what is the harm if you chant "Krsna"? This is not very bad proposal. Any intelligent man . . . if you have, you chant
- We are not very willing to perform austerities without good reason; therefore any man with a good scientific and philosophical mind, like your good self, must first appreciate what transcendental knowledge is
