- When we consider their bodily and mental conditions, we find that the character of such candidates (candidates for devotional service) is impure and their minds are agitated
- When you chant His name with devotion, that means Krsna is with you. And Krsna, when Krsna is with you, how you can remain impure? You become pure. The purest. That is the whole system
- Whenever it (Vedas) says this is impure, it is impure; when it says it is pure, it is pure. Now, if there is any doubt, that should be understood by questioning submissively and with service from the spiritual master. The spiritual master is there
- Whole this bhakti-yoga or any yoga, the whole system is purification. Tapo divyam yena suddhyet sattvam (SB 5.5.1). Our existence is now impure. Therefore we have to accept birth, death, old age and disease
- Why we accept Vedas as authority? Because there is the perfect knowledge. I have discussed so many times the authority of the Vedas, accepting cow dung as pure although animal stool is impure
- With your reason you can say, - First of all you said that stool is impure, and as soon as you touch you must take your bathing; otherwise you remain impure. So another stool, cow stool, you say pure? This is contradiction
- Without being pure, you cannot be engaged in the loving service of the Lord. The Lord is pure. Param brahma param dhama pavitram paramam bhavan. So you cannot approach Lord being impure
Y
- You can defend your theory but that will not help purification of the society. That will not help. Take it for granted. You can make so many theories but if you remain impure, if you are not God conscious, all these theories will be useless
- You cannot approach the most pure if you are impure. You must be pure. Therefore this chanting of Hare Krsna mantra is a purificatory process
- You cannot argue that, - One place you say that this stool is impure, and another place you say this (cow dung) is pure. This is contradiction
- You may be pure or impure. Material condition means impure, contaminated, conditioned. So to get out of this contaminated condition, the sastra says, yah smaret pundarikaksam
- You should become a perfect human being. Purify your existence. Why you are subjected to birth, death, old age and disease? Because we are impure. Now, if we purify our existence, then there will be no such thing as birth, death, old age and disease
