- "I am a Mayavadi sannyasi," Lord Caitanya protested. "I have no knowledge of the transcendental features of devotional service"
- "I am not joking with you," Sanatana informed him (mendicant). "I am very serious. Will you kindly exchange that torn quilt for this blanket?" Finally the mendicant exchanged his torn quilt for the blanket, and Sanatana returned to the Lord
- If we accept this principle (God appeared as Caitanya) on the method of authentic scripture, that is our intelligence. Not that you have to become a great psychologist or a great scientist or mathematician. No. You have to take the orders of the authority

- Lord Caitanya accepted sannyasa from Kesava Bharati. When He first approached Kesava Bharati, He was accepted as a brahmacari with the name Sri Krsna Caitanya Brahmacari. After He took sannyasa, He preferred to keep the name Krsna Caitanya
- Lord Caitanya accepted the position of Srimati Radharani to understand Krsna; therefore He was always thinking of Krsna in the same way as Radharani. By thinking of Lord Krsna, He always overlapped Krsna

- Lord Caitanya offered him (Bhattacarya) the prasada which He had received in the temple of Jagannatha, and Bhattacarya was very glad to receive this prasada from the hands of Lord Caitanya Himself

- Piety refers to the process of cleansing the heart. As recommended by Lord Caitanya, one has to cleanse the dust from the mirror of the mind, and then advancement on the path of liberation begins. Here (in SB 4.8.5) also the same process is recommended
- Prahlada said: In the Age of Kali, O Mahapurusa, You sometimes appear in a covered incarnation (Caitanya). Therefore You are known as Tri-yuga - one who appears in only three yugas
- Prakasananda replied, "My dear Lord (Caitanya), You are the Supreme Lord, and although You consider Yourself the Lord's servant, You are nonetheless worshipable"
- Purusam means the Supreme Lord, and brahma-yonim indicates that He is also the Supreme Brahman. This evidence, too, proves that Lord Caitanya is the Supreme Personality of Godhead Krsna

- Ramananda continued speaking to Lord: First I saw You as a sannyasi, & then I saw You as a cowherd boy. I see before You a golden doll, & due to its presence Your complexion has become golden. Yet I see that Your complexion is dark, like a cowherd boy's
- Ramananda Raya could understand the motive of Lord Caitanya; therefore he stated that attainment of pure love of Godhead is the highest perfectional stage. There is a very nice verse in Padyavali which is said to be composed by Ramananda Raya himself
- Ramananda Raya replied (to Lord Caitanya) in all humility, "Please excuse me for my faulty expression. I am just trying to express whatever You are causing me to express"
- Ramananda Raya replied (to Lord Caitanya) that ultimately some turn into trees and others attain the heavenly planets where they enjoy material happiness
- Ramananda Raya said (to Lord Caitanya), "Now let us relish the transcendental loving affairs between Krsna and Radha. These have no comparison in this material world"
- Ramananda Raya said, "My dear Lord, You have told me about the science of Krsna and Radharani and Their loving affairs, the affairs of the rasa dance and Their pastimes. I never thought that I should be able to speak on this subject matter"
- Ramananda Raya very much appreciated the Lord's touching a man of wealth. A king, governor or any politician is always absorbed in thoughts of political affairs and pounds-shilling-pence; therefore such persons are avoided by sannyasis
- Ramananda Raya wanted to present these facts before the Lord, but apparently discharge of ritualistic duties wasn't sufficient, for Lord Caitanya said that it was external
- Ramananda Raya was surprised by Lord Caitanya's behavior, and he cited a verse from Srimad-Bhagavatam (SB 10.8.4): "The great personalities and sages appear in the homes of worldly men just to show them mercy"

- The Lord is like a touchstone, for by His grace He can turn iron into gold. After his conversion, everyone marked a great change in Bhattacarya, and they concluded that this change was made possible only by the inconceivable power of Lord Caitanya
- The Lord is so kind that in spite of Kali-yuga's being devoid of these three spiritual qualities (namely austerity, cleanliness and mercy), He comes and protects the people of this age in His covered incarnation as Lord Caitanya
- The Lord pointed out that because Sanatana was in Krsna consciousness, he was naturally, by the grace of Krsna, already conversant with everything
- The Lord proceeded to quote a verse from Srimad-Bhagavatam to the effect that a person who is a devotee of Lord Krsna and is one hundred percent engaged in devotional service is far better than a brahmana who is versed in all the Vedic literatures
- The Lord quoted some verses from the Puranas by which He established that Sankaracarya was deputed to teach by the order of the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- The Lord requested Bhattacarya to go to Jagannatha temple again, and Bhattacarya started out for the temple accompanied by Jagadananda and Damodara, two principal associates of Lord Caitanya
- The Lord requested Candrasekhara to take Sanatana to a barber and make him "gentle," for Sanatana had grown a long beard which Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu did not like
- The Lord said that the living entities are known as ksetrajna, or "knowers of the field of activities." In the Thirteenth Chapter of BG, the body is described as the field of activities, and the living entity as ksetrajna, the knower of that field
- The Lord then told Sanatana: "It would not look good for you to be a mendicant and beg from door to door with such a valuable blanket on your body. It is contradictory and people would look on it with abhorrence"
- The Lord told Sanatana that Krsna is very merciful and is the deliverer of fallen souls. "He has saved you from Maharaurava," the Lord said
- The Lord told Sanatana: "You are intelligent enough, and you have now exhausted all your attraction for material wealth"
- The Lord took sannyasa from Kesava Bharati in the Bharati sampradaya, in which the brahmacaris (the assistants of the sannyasis) are named "Caitanya"
- The Lord wanted to tour all the places of pilgrimage alone and strictly observe the duties of the renounced order
- The Lord was pleased by Sanatana's submissive behavior, and He replied, "You have already received benediction from Lord Krsna, and therefore you know everything and are free from all the miseries of material existence"
- The Lord was so pleased with Bhattacarya that He began to bless him repeatedly: Dear Bhattacarya, now you are a completely pure devotee of Lord Krsna, and Krsna is now very much pleased with you
- The Lord was so pleased with Bhattacarya that He began to bless him repeatedly: From today you are freed from the contamination of this material body and the entanglement of material energy. You are now fit to go back to Godhead, back home
- The Lord was very pleased to hear these hundred verses, and He embraced Bhattacarya
- The Lord, expanded His illusory energy upon the thieves, so much so that instead of carrying Him to the forest they came right back in front of His house
- The mercy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead can be obtained by the mercy of a pure devotee. Lord Caitanya's mercy was bestowed upon Bhattacarya because of Gopinatha Acarya's endeavor
- The next day Lord Caitanya asked Ramananda Raya to allow Him to return to Jagannatha Puri. "We can remain together the rest of our lives at Jagannatha Puri and pass our time in discussing Krsna"
- The next evening Ramananda returned to see Caitanya Mahaprabhu. After discussing Krsna for some time, Ramananda Raya fell at the feet of the Lord and said, "My dear Lord, You are so kind to me that You have told me about the science of Krsna & Radharani"
- The preliminary discussions between Lord Caitanya and Ramananda Raya are considered to be like copper, and the higher discussions are considered to be like gold. The fifth dimension of their discussions, however, is considered to be like touchstone
- The question, does Lord Rama or Lord Caitanya forget, is like saying, does God come under Maya, or forgetfulness. You must fully understand this before you can successfully debate with the Mayavad arguments
- The Sanskrit book Advaita-carita states, Advaita Acarya Prabhu had three sons who were devotees of Lord Caitanya. Their names were Acyuta, Krsna Misra and Gopala dasa, and they were all born of the womb of His wife, Sitadevi
- The story of the deliverance of the brahmana: The Lord asked the brahmana not to disclose the incident to anyone else. This pastime is very elaborately explained in the Caitanya-bhagavata, Adi-khanda, Chapter Five

- Thus Lord Jagannatha mounted His car, and Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu inspired all His devotees to dance in front of it
- Two Lords, Nitai-Gauracandra, Nityananda Prabhu and Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, They are very kind, you see? They have appeared just to reclaim the fallen souls of this age

- Under the spell of maya, the most unfortunate condition of a living entity, some of the branches, not accepting the gardener (Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu) who poured water on them, considered the trunk the only cause of the great bhakti-kalpataru
- Understanding the mind of Lord Caitanya, Ramananda Raya immediately answered that it was indeed conjugal love with Krsna that constituted the highest relationship
- Upon reaching Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Ramananda Raya prostrated himself and offered his obeisances and respects. Lord Caitanya received him by vibrating Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare
- Upon seeing this unique feature of Lord Caitanya (as the combination of Sri Radha and Krsna), Ramananda Raya fainted and fell on the floor. Lord Caitanya then touched him, and he came to his senses

- Vasudeva Datta made a similar statement to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, requesting the Lord to liberate all living entities in His presence
- Vasudeva Datta submitted that if they (all living entities) were unfit to be liberated, he himself would take all their sinful reactions and suffer personally so that the Lord might deliver them
- Vyasadeva imparted it (the knowledge) to Madhvacarya, and from Madhvacarya the knowledge came down to Madhavendra Puri and then to Isvara Puri, and from him to Caitanya Mahaprabhu - CC Intro

- We are explaining that paritranaya sadhunam vinasaya ca duskrtam, sambhavami yuge yuge (BG 4.8). So Lord appears in this age also. And according to sastra, authentic scripture, He has appeared as Lord Caitanya
- We should know that He (Lord Caitanya) is Krsna, God, and nothing is equal to or greater than Him. There is no superior to be conceived. He is the Supreme Person
- "Whatever I am doing to become free from material attachment is all Your mercy," Sanatana replied. The Lord was very much pleased with him, and both of them discussed spiritual advancement
- When Lord Caitanya asked Ramananda Raya what is considered to be the most painful existence, Ramananda Raya replied that separation from a pure devotee constitutes the most painful existence
- When Lord Caitanya beat Advaita Acarya for explaining Srimad-Bhagavatam from an impersonalist viewpoint opposed to the principles of bhakti-yoga, Acyutananda was also present
- When Lord Caitanya heard Ramananda Raya speak of the loving affairs between Krsna and Radharani, He said, "Please go further. Go on and on"
- When Lord Caitanya inquired from Ramananda Raya about the most famous man in this world, the latter replied that anyone who is known as a great devotee of the Lord is to be accepted as the most famous
- When Nilambara Cakravarti, Sacimata and Jagannatha Misra understood from the marks on the Lord’s lotus feet that child Nimai was not an ordinary child but an incarnation of Narayana
- When Ramananda Raya presented this proposal (from Srimad-Bhagavatam - SB 10.14.3), Lord Caitanya at once said, "Yes, this is right"
- When the Lord is unhappy because of the condition of the fallen souls, the devotee consoles Him, saying, "My dear Lord, do not be in anxiety." This is service
- When they (devotees) gave this information to Mukunda, he danced with jubilation, and when Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu heard that Mukunda was so patiently waiting to meet Him after millions of years, He immediately asked him to return
- "Where is your valuable blanket?" the Lord (Caitanya) immediately inquired (Sanatana Gosvami). Sanatana informed Him about the exchange, and the Lord loved him for this and thanked him
- With torn clothing and a waterpot in hand, he began to proceed toward Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu
- Worshiping Lord Caitanya, they (people) can perform the highest activity and fulfill the highest religious purpose of satisfying the Supreme Lord

- You can see from the examples of Lord Buddha, Lord Jesus Christ, Lord Caitanya, Sankaracarya, who were recently within the limit of our historical knowledge. They attained spiritual perfection after undergoing penances for many, many years
- "You are a great devotee of the Lord," Bhattacarya continued replying Gopinatha Acarya, "and I was simply blinded by my academic education. Yes, I have obtained the mercy of the Lord through your agency only"
- "Your constitutional position is that you are pure living soul," the Lord told Sanatana. "This material body cannot be identified with your real self; nor is your mind your real identity, nor your intelligence, nor false ego"
