Theme Analysis
The philosophical essence of this category establishes that the Absolute Truth is ultimately the Supreme Godhead, a fully cognizant, eternally joyful person possessing inconceivable opulences. Śrīla Prabhupāda explains that while the living entities are qualitatively one with the Supreme Godhead (both being spiritual puruṣas), they are quantitatively minute and prone to being covered by material nature. The Supreme Godhead, however, is the supreme controller (īśvara) who maintains all living entities and is eternally transcendental to His material energy (māyā). Realization of the impersonal Brahman or the localized Paramātmā represents only a partial understanding of the Absolute Truth; the perfect stage of realization is achieved by understanding the personal form, names, and pastimes of the Supreme Godhead, Lord Kṛṣṇa or Viṣṇu. Pure devotees who take complete shelter of this Supreme Person and engage in His loving service are freed from all material fears and attain His eternal, spiritual abode.
