- A realized soul in Krsna consciousness should not disturb others in their activities or understanding, but he should act by showing how the results of all work can be dedicated to the service of Krsna. BG 1972 purports

- A surrendered soul serves Krsna without material considerations
- A Vaisnava does not desire even liberation, what to speak of dhanam, janam, rupavati bharya. That is real Vaisnava. He wants simply Krsna, to serve Him. That's . . . anyabhilasita . . . So that happiness is perfect happiness. That is real santi

- Actually bhakti should be automatic and spontaneous. There should be no motive in serving Krsna, but even if there is a motive, service rendered unto Krsna is good
- Actually our position is to serve Krsna. That is real position. Caitanya Mahaprabhu starts His instruction from this point, that we are eternal servant of Krsna

- After one is established in devotional service, the positive actions are (1) hearing, (2) chanting, (3) remembering, (4) worshiping, (5) praying, (6) serving, (7) accepting servitorship, (8) becoming a friend and (9) surrendering fully
- After saying this, he danced and sang to his heart's content, but the brahmana did not become angry, for he was then serving Lord Krsna
- After thinking of Radha & Krsna and Their pastimes for a long time & after getting completely free from material contamination, one is transferred to the spiritual world. There the devotee attains an opportunity to serve Radha & Krsna as one of the gopis
- All kinds of activities, both auspicious and inauspicious, that are detrimental to the discharge of transcendental loving service to Lord Sri Krsna are actions of the darkness of ignorance
- All living entities in different life forms are sons of Krsna. Therefore they are all meant to serve Krsna, the original supreme father

- All the women in the three worlds where death is inevitable - the heavenly, middle & lower planets - are very easily available to Krsna because His curved eyebrows are so attractive. Moreover, He is always served very faithfully by the goddess of fortune
- Already transcendentally enlightened, they (the gopis) simply engage their purified senses in the service of the Lord (Krsna) in the remote village of Vrndavana
- Although each and every queen had thousands of maidservants engaged for her service, the queens were all personally attentive in serving Krsna. Each one of them used to receive Krsna personally when He entered the palace
- Amrta chadi' visa mage: - "such a devotee (who serves Krsna for material sense gratification) is like a person who asks for poison instead of nectar." Ei bada murkha: "That is his foolishness." Ami-vijna: "But I am experienced."
- Antaranga-seva refers to service performed in one's spiritual body. Svarupa Damodara Gosvami was formerly Lalitadevi. Raghunatha dasa Gosvami, who was among his assistants, now also began to serve Radha and Krsna within his mind

- As a Vaisnava, then, one has ample opportunity to serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead simply by reclaiming these conditioned, misled living entities, training them in Krsna consciousness and leading them back home, back to Godhead
- As confirmed in Bhagavad-gita (BG 15.15), vedais ca sarvair aham eva vedyah: the purport of the Vedas is to understand Him, Krsna. One who worships and serves Krsna directly has understood the truths of the Vedas
- As it is said, aruhya krcchrena param padam tatah patanty adho 'nadrta-yusmad-anghrayah: (SB 10.2.32) if one neglects to serve the lotus feet of Krsna, one cannot become free from the material clutches simply by knowledge
- As living entities, we are eternal. So temporary business is not our business. Our business should be eternal because we are eternal. And that eternal business is how to serve Krsna

- As part and parcel we have to serve Krsna and be subordinate to Him because as the supreme father He supplies all our necessities. Such a life of subordination to Krsna is a normal life and is a life of actual liberation
- As Rupa Gosvami points out, we have to serve Krsna favorably. Generally we want to serve God for some material purpose or gain
- As soon as one attains this knowledge (uselessly serving maya), he reaches the brahma-bhuta (SB 4.30.20) stage, Brahman realization, and he becomes prasannatma, happy. One may ask, - Why should I serve Krsna
- As soon as one comes to this platform of knowledge, then he becomes prasannatma. - Oh, why I am serving these nonsense? I forgot that I am a spirit soul, minute particle of Krsna. My business is to serve Krsna
- As soon as one hears the name of Krsna, immediately, spontaneously, he should be ready to serve Him. That is pure devotion. Not that forced
- As soon as these (material upliftment, understanding the Supreme by speculative knowledge, fruitive activity & severe austerity) are present within the heart, the heart should be understood to be unclean & therefore unfit to serve as Krsna's sitting place
- As soon as you become master, you will be kicked. But that is also false position. We cannot become master; we are servant. But instead of serving Krsna, we are serving maya. That is our position
- As stated in the Brahma-samhita (BS 5.29), laksmi-sahasra-sata-sambhrama-sevyamanam govindam adi-purusam tam aham bhajami. The abode of Krsna is always served by hundreds and thousands of goddesses of fortune
- As stated in the Brahma-samhita, laksmi-sahasra-sata-sambhrama-sevyamanam: (BS 5.29) He (Krsna) would be served by many gopis, who would all be as good as the goddess of fortune
- As the devotee is only searching the opportunity how to serve Krsna, similarly, Krsna is also very eager to serve the devotee. That is a reciprocation of devotional service
- As we are active in the karma, karmi life, so bhakti life is also activity. It is not sitting down idly or gossiping. One must find out some job to serve Krsna. That is bhakti life
- As you have all come to help me, if you also follow the same principles then our combined effort to serve Lord Krishna will be surely successful
- Attend the arati ceremony and take prasada and work hard in the service of Krsna and you will surely experience the bliss of the perfection of life in Krsna consciousness
B
- Baladeva is the immediate expansion of Krsna. He also engages in the service of Krsna, and certainly the ordinary living entities are serving. Everyone is created, constitutionally, for serving Krsna
- Because He (Nityananda Prabhu) always remembered Radha-Krsna and Their service, this was transcendental madness. Sri Advaita Acarya was pointing out this fact
- Because he has no other alternative. Either he has to serve this way or serve that way. If he is not attracted to serve in Krsna consciousness, then he has to serve in material consciousness
- Because I am part and parcel of Krsna, so everything belongs to Krsna. Therefore, with my hands, with my legs, with my eyes, I cannot do anything except serving Krsna
- Because maya is the servant of Krsna, anyone serving maya serves Krsna indirectly
- Because the ekadandi-sannyasis of the Mayavada school are not devoted to the service of Krsna, they try to merge into the Brahman effulgence, which is a marginal position between material and spiritual existence
- Because this prayer was offered by Lord Brahma, "He (Govinda) is always served with great reverence and affection by hundreds of thousands of laksmis, or gopis." We follow him by reciting this prayer
- Because we are not meant for this service. We are, as Caitanya Mahaprabhu teaches, jivera svarupa haya nitya-krsna-dasa (CC Madhya 20.108-109). Our main business is to serve Krsna
- Because we are part and parcel of Krsna, our only duty is to serve Krsna. There is no other duty. Therefore Krsna demands, sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja (BG 18.66). We have no other duty; just to serve Krsna
- Because you are already acquainted with Krishna, I have no objection to accepting you as my disciple. Practically, I do not have any disciples; I select so many masters to train them in the service of the Lord
- Because you have no information of serving Krsna, then come down again to this material world and serve maya - so-called hospitals and other things, philanthropic work
- Better that you travel on this planet and serve Krishna. We don't care for such moon travel. Rather after this life we want to travel to Krishna. If even we go to Brahmaloka, the topmost planet, still we have to come down
- Bhagavad-gita makes it clear that one can attain the highest perfection of spiritual life simply by offering service according to his ability, just as Arjuna served Krsna by his ability in the military art
- Bhakti means that you are not required to destroy your senses, but you have to purify your senses. And when you purify your senses, then you can serve Krsna
- Bhakti-yoga does not require us to destroy our senses, but to purify them. When the senses are purified, we can serve Krsna
- Bhakti-yoga is so strong, if you take to the positive side of service of Krsna, the material service or maya's service will automatically become negative
- Brahmaji desires to worship Krsna, who resides in the topmost Vaikuntha planet, known as Goloka Vrndavana, where He is in the habit of keeping surabhi cows as a cowboy and where He is served by hundreds and thousands of goddesses of fortune (the gopis)
- Buddhist philosophy, they make the ultimate goal zero, and these Mayavadis, they also make the ultimate goal zero. They do not understand that there is life, blissful life, by serving Krsna
- But the devotee in full knowledge is considered to be very dear to the Lord because his only purpose is to serve the Supreme Lord with love and devotion. Such a devotee cannot live a second without contacting or serving the Supreme Lord. BG 1972 purports
- By following in the footsteps of such associates and by entering under their eternal guidance, one can acquire an intense desire to serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- By serving both the spiritual master and Krsna he gets the seed of devotional service (bhakti-lata-bija), and if he sows the seed within his heart and waters it by hearing and chanting, it grows into a luxuriant bhakti-lata, or bhakti creeper
- By serving Krsna, all my objective, all my perfection is there - this conviction makes you perfect. And this is real, this is reality. There is no imposition. It is reality. Simply one has to understand
- By serving Krsna, nobody is loser; he is gainer. He is gainer permanently, eternally. We do not know what is the value of that gain now
- By serving the lotus feet of Krsna, you conquered great enemies, who were like elephants, and thus you collected ingredients for sacrifice. By His grace, may you be delivered from material involvement
- By serving You (Lord Krsna) constantly, one is freed from all material desires and is completely pacified. When shall I engage as Your permanent eternal servant and always feel joyful to have such a perfect master
- By the aggregate use of the word 'ca,' it is indicated that all the atmaramas and saints serve and worship Krsna
- By your force, you cannot see Him. But He is pleased, sevonmukhe hi jihvadau, when you accept to serve Him by your tongue, beginning with tongue, kirtanam
C
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu begins His philosophy from this point, that jivera svarupa haya nitya-krsna-dasa: "The real constitutional position of all living entities is to serve Krsna." This is constitutional position
- Caitanya Mahaprabhu, by the example of His actual life, taught vipralambha-seva, service of Krsna in separation. Tears would come from His eyes like torrents of rain, for He would feel everything to be vacant for want of Krsna
- Cara means the moving animals, especially the cows. When Krsna was present, He delivered all the trees, monkeys and other plants and animals who happened to see Him and serve Him, both in Vrndavana and in Dvaraka
- Chanting Hare Krsna mantra, not for any profit. But go on serving Him. That's all. Material calculation, - Now, this much I have profited
- Chanting of Hare Krsna with 108 beads means that we are surpassing the study of 108 Upanisads. Another meaning is that there are 108 damsels who served Krsna with all respect at Vrndavana. So that is also another explanation, 108
- Comfortable situation is also sense gratification. Any situation, we have to serve Krsna. That is Krsna consciousness. Not that, "If it is comfortable to me, I shall do it." That is sense gratification
D
- Daivi-maya asritah, as soon as we become under the shelter of daivi-maya, then our business becomes bhajanty ananya-manasah: simply serving Krsna, no other business
- Deity worship should be practiced by everyone. That cleanses the contaminated body. It is the custom that before entering one must be cleansed & bathe himself regularly. The whole idea is that we must very much sincere in our activities to serve Krishna
- Devotee means pure devotee, anyabhilasita-sunyam, without any other desires. Devotee means he wants to serve Krsna, that's all. Not that in return he wants something. He is devotee. Devotion is not business
- Devotional service is also called bhagavata-dharma. Without material aspirations, one should simply serve Krsna, as advised in Bhagavad-gita, Narada Pancaratra and Srimad-Bhagavatam
- Do not eat luxurious dishes or dress in fine garments, but always remain humble and serve Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha-Krsna in your heart of hearts
- Do not tell Krsna what I (Radharani) have said, although I know that you (bumblebee) are very envious. We gopis have given up our husbands, sons & all the religious principles that promise better births, now we have no business other than serving Krsna
- Don't claim that there is no God. There is God, and He is great, and you are small. Then what is your position? You have to serve Krsna. This is simple truth. So that rebellious attitude is called maya
- Don't claim that you are God. Don't claim that there is no God. There is God, and He is great, and you are small. Then what is your position? You have to serve Krsna. This is simple truth
- Duties executed by the Lord for His devotee are always very pleasing to the Lord because the Lord wants to render service to His unalloyed devotee, whose life has no other engagement than to serve the Lord with full love and devotion
E
- Either you call Krsna or Jehovah, or whatever name you like, you give, but God is one. So if you simply become to this consciousness, that "I am eternal servant of God, and my business is to serve God..."
- Enthusiasm must be maintained under all circumstance. That is our price for entering into Krsna's kingdom. And maya is always trying to take away our enthusiasm to serve Krsna, because without enthusiasm everything else is finished
- Even big, big advanced spiritually sannyasi, they are thinking that - I am Krsna. I am Krsna. Why shall I go to serve Krsna? This is slave mentality. Just become Krsna. I am Krsna
- Even if he (a devotee) has got great amount of wealth, good qualification, everything, he thinks that, - These things are Krsna's. I am His servant. I have got the opportunity to serve Him with this qualification
- Even we offer Krsna prayer with broken languages, because Krsna is Absolute, Krsna will accept it. Bhava-grahi, bhava-grahi-janardana. Janardana, Krsna, sees how much your heart is pure for serving Krsna. Krsna does not see the wording of your prayer
- Even without becoming master He (Krsna) is providing everything. Even though those who do not accept Him, He is also giving them. What to speak of those who have accepted Him? This is very simple philosophy. It is His position to accept service
- Eventually one will become exasperated by using one's senses. Ultimately one will become senseless. Therefore Krsna says, sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja (BG 18.66): "Don't act like this. Your senses are meant for serving Me
- Every living entity is eternal servant of Krsna. Therefore unless he comes to the platform of serving Krsna, there is no question of happiness. There is no question of happiness
- Every living entity is part and parcel of the Supreme Lord, and therefore it is the duty of every living entity to serve that supreme whole. Without such service, the living entity falls into material contamination
- Every one of them would get release from material existence. Since such is the benefit of those who played with the Lord inimically, one can imagine what would be the position of those who devoutly served the Lord in transcendental relationship with Him
- Everyone can serve Krsna provided he is qualified. And what is that qualification?
- Everyone has a particular transcendental mellow by which he loves and serves Krsna
- Everyone has got his particular propensity. So someone is serving as the land there; someone is serving as the throne; someone is serving as the supplying agent of fruits and flowers; someone is engaged in His service as the gopis, confidential servitors
- Everyone has some potency. You have special potency. Do not waste it in the service of maya, but use it in the service of Krsna
- Everyone is serving his senses. This is the position. This is dharmasya glanir bhavati. As soon as we are engaged in serving our senses, that is dharmasya glanih. And as soon as we agree to serve the senses of Krsna, that is dharma
- Everyone should be engaged in his own work, and by the fruit of his work, he should serve Krsna
- Everyone who is not serving Krsna, he is in the wrong path
- Everything about Krsna is originally known to us all & as soon as we begin to associate with the devotees of the Lord & chant His Holy Name, this memory gradually becomes stronger as we remember our constitutional position of always serving Krsna
- Everything must be executed with great enthusiasm. You must be very enthusiastic to serve Krsna
- Extreme desire to serve the Lord is manifest in the transcendental land of Vraja. And it is specifically manifested among the gopis. The gopis' love for Krsna is so elevated that for our understanding it is sometimes explained as being "lusty desire"
F
- First deserve, then desire. So how a Krsna conscious person can be desireless? The first is desire: "I desire to serve Krsna." That is the beginning. Then Krsna will give you chance, as you deserve. This is the process
- For a servant of Krishna, there is no distinction of hell and heaven. Our only ambition should be to serve the Lord
- For his doing so (Arjuna changing his decision to serve Krsna) so, he became a famous devotee of the Lord, for it is declared in all the scriptures that Arjuna attained spiritual perfection by devotional service to the Lord in friendship
- For our original characteristic, that we are eternal servant of God, Krsna, if we are situated in that platform or eternal platform, serving Krsna, that is mukti. Mukti means give up the false conception of life and take the real conception of life
- For their return to the Vaikuntha world, it was arranged that Jaya & Vijaya, for three consecutive births, would act as deadly enemies of the Lord & that at the end of these lives they would return to the Vaikuntha world & serve Him as His associates
- For those working in Krsna consciousness, there are simply not enough hours in the day to serve Krsna. There are always activities, engagements both day and night, which the student of Krsna consciousness performs joyfully
- From his very birth, Uddhava was a natural devotee of Lord Krsna, or a nitya-siddha, a liberated soul. From natural instinct he used to serve Lord Krsna, even in his childhood
- From time immemorial the nitya-mukta living entity has always been a devotee of Krsna, and his only attempt has been to serve Krsna. Thus he never forgets his eternal servitorship to Krsna
G
- Go on with Krsna consciousness, the simple method. So there is no question of falldown. Bhakti-vasana sad-bhavat. Bhakti-vasana, this desire that, "I'll serve Krsna," this desire is sufficient to keep him, I mean to say, intact
- God is Krsna. That is my magic. I don't bluff people. Here is God. See God, be with God, serve God. That's my business
H
- He (a devotee) will want to serve the Lord by assisting Him in controlling the cows in the pasturing ground
- He (a guru) must have heard thoroughly about the Vedas from his spiritual master. Generally a guru's symptom is that he is a perfect devotee, that's all. And he serves Krsna by preaching His message
- He (a person in the renounced order) should show all respect to others, but should not expect respect for himself. In this way, one should chant the holy name of the Lord and think of how to serve Radha and Krsna in Vrndavana
- He (a vaisnava) knows that "I have no necessity. My only business is to serve Krsna." So he's happy in all condition
- He (Akrura) did not know what sort of pious activities he must have performed to gain an opportunity to go see Lord Krsna and Lord Balarama in Vrndavana on that day. A pure Vaisnava always thinks himself unfit to serve Krsna
- He (Ananta Sesa) serves Lord Krsna, assuming all the following forms: umbrella, slippers, bedding, pillow, garments, resting chair, residence, sacred thread and throne
- He (Govinda) is always served with great reverence and affection by hundreds of thousands of Laksmis, or goddesses of fortune
- He (Krsna) accepts the form of arca-vigraha (worshipable Deity) just to accept service from His different incapable devotees
- He (Krsna) does not require anyone's service, because He's complete. There is no want. Unless He's perfect, how He can be the Supreme?
- He (Krsna) is being served by many thousands of goddess of fortune. Then what is this value of this leaf and flower and fruit? But still, He says, tad aham asnami, "Yes, I eat them." And once God eats from your hand, then your life is successful
- He (Krsna) reciprocates by pretending to be dependent on me, my slave, just to give us opportunity to find the real object of our loving propensity and to take pleasure by pleasing and serving Him
- He (Lord Caitanya) requests Lord Krsna's service birth after birth. It is not that He is seeking salvation; rather, He simply wants to serve Krsna one life after another
- He (Lord Krsna) does not require anyone's extraneous help for His personal satisfaction. Therefore, the queens could not satisfy the Lord by their feminine attractiveness, but they satisfied Him by their sincere affection and service
- He (the advanced devotee) should be certain that Krsna will bestow His mercy upon him (asa-bandhah), and he should always be very eager to serve the Lord faithfully - samutkantha
- He can understand whether you are sincerely serving or with some motive you are serving. Even with a motive you serve Krsna, it will never go in vain. Krsna is so kind
- He comes personally, he comes as a devotee, and he sends His authorized devotee. So some way or other we have been entrusted to serve Krishna in this connection
- He engaged his legs in walking to the holy places and temples of the Lord, his head in bowing down before the Lord, and all his desires in serving the Lord, twenty-four hours a day
- He executes the orders of Lord Krsna in the work of creation, and in the form of Lord Sesa He serves Krsna in various ways
- He is always served with great reverence and affection by hundreds and thousands of goddesses of fortune
- He is thus called Lord Sesa, for He has attained the ultimate end of servitude to Krsna. He takes many forms for the service of Krsna, and thus He serves the Lord
- He is witness. You cannot cheat Krsna. Be sincere, and try to serve Him. He'll accept your service. And He will give you intelligence. Your life will be successful
- He who has progressed in devotional life and who is relishing service to Krsna will automatically become detached from material enjoyment. The symptom of one absorbed in bhakti is that he is fully satisfied with Krsna
- He who is Sesa, Sankarsana, with His thousands of mouths, serves Sri Krsna by assuming ten forms
- Hearing the vibration, Yamaraja appeared and received Sri Krsna with all respectful obeisances. Yamaraja could understand who Krsna and Balarama were, and therefore he immediately offered his humble service to the Lord
- Here is the person, Supreme Personality of Godhead. If you serve Krsna, then your senses become satisfied. Therefore His name is Govinda. Actually, we want to serve our senses, but the real senses, the transcendental senses, is Krsna, Govinda
- How to serve Krsna, how to disentangle ourselves from materialistic service, how to attain Krsna consciousness and become free from material designations is all taught as a science by Sri Krsna in Bhagavad-gita
- How you can achieve Krsna? Krsna does not require any service from you but the love
- However perfect you may be in serving Krsna, you should always know that Krsna is unlimited. It will ever remain imperfect because we are limited. But Krsna is so kind. If you offer a little service sincerely, He accepts
- Hrsikena hrsikesa-sevanam: (CC Madhya 19.170) when our senses are free from material designations, we will utilize them in the service of the master of the senses, Hrsikesa, or Krsna
- Hrsikesa-sevanam, not hrsika-sevanam - service to the supreme master of the senses, not to the senses themselves

- My Guru Maharaja always instructed that it is not necessary that you have to qualify yourself for serving Krsna. Whatever qualification you have already got, that is sufficient to come to the platform of service. That’s all
- My hand can take pleasure when it is attached to my body and serves it. It does not take pleasure in serving another's body. Because we are part of Krsna, our pleasure is in serving Him
- My only business is to serve Krsna. I don't mind what will happen next
- My senses are there. They will act. They'll act for simply to serve Krsna. That is wanted. So that can be possible when you are trained up by the servant of Krsna. Otherwise it is not possible
N
- Narottama dasa Thakura said, janame janame mora ei abhilas. Our . . . we are . . . ambition should be how to serve Krsna through the disciplic succession, guru, and live in the association of devotees. This is the process
- Narottama dasa Thakura says that we can utilize these enemies, kama, krodha, lobha, lust, anger, greediness. They can be utilized also for Krsna's service. Kami, lusty. One should be so much lusty to serve Krsna
- No conditioned soul can get out of material bondage without serving the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Love at His lotus feet is the ultimate goal of life
- No one can properly describe the fortune of the wives of Lord Krsna. They took care of Him personally by rendering various transcendental services like bathing Him, feeding Him, pleasing Him and serving Him
- No one can serve Krsna completely. He is so complete and self-sufficient that He has no need of any service from the devotee
- Nobody has ever gained anything by becoming a tool in the hands of Maya, but everyone has become eternally happy by serving Krishna
- Nobody should hesitate. Prahlada Maharaja is giving us this assurance, that to serve Krsna, there is no question of hesitation
- Not all, but those who are intelligent and fortunate take to this process of devotional service (kevalaya bhaktya), and their only desire is to serve Krsna
- Not for money's sake, not for reputation sake, labha-puja-pratistha. Only for serving Krsna. Anukulyena krsnanu-silanam (CC Madhya 19.167). This is pure Vaisnavism. One has to satisfy Krsna. Not for any other purpose
- Now conduct your preaching in such a way that when anyone becomes attracted to get something from us he may be induced or allured into serving Krishna in his own way as he likes to do it, not being forced to do something else he may not like to do
- Now I've got this body, you've got this body, and if we do not change our attitude to serve Krsna, then we get again next body
- Now the occupational duties have expanded, but it doesn't matter whether one is an engineer, a doctor or whatever. Simply try to serve Krsna by the results of work. That is bhakti
- Now we are seeking ananda (bliss) in different atmospheres. Because we have a little independence, we have decided to go to the prison house of material nature and try to serve our senses instead of Krsna
- Now, in the human form of life, one should understand, "Everything belongs to Krsna, so why am I hankering to satisfy this body which is supposedly mine? Rather, now that I have this body, let me serve Krsna." This is intelligence, and this is bhakti
O
- O Brahmana Vyasadeva, it is decided by the learned that the best remedial measure for removing all troubles and miseries is to dedicate one's activities to the service of the Supreme Lord Personality of Godhead (Sri Krsna)
- O my Lord, Jagadisa, I (Caitanya) do not pray for benedictions by which to achieve material wealth, popularity or beauty. My only desire is to serve You. Kindly engage me in the service of the servant of Your servant - CC Antya 20.29, Siksastaka 4
- On the spiritual platform, however, the servitor of the Supreme Personality of Godhead serves Krsna without payment, and he continues his service in all conditions. That is the difference between Krsna consciousness and material consciousness
- One absorbed in Krsna consciousness, in chanting the names of Krsna and serving Him always, receives the benefit of the highest form of yoga
- One becomes transcendental to all pious and impious activities when one serves Krsna. After all, piety and impiety are within the material modes. Krsna's service is transcendental to good and bad, pious and impious
- One can serve Krsna by his activities, karmana; by mind, by thinking, by planning how to do it nicely. Mind is also required. karmana manasa vaca. And by words. How? Preaching
- One has to serve Krsna according to these (sixty-four) regulative principles, but if one develops spontaneous love for Krsna as exhibited in the activities of those who live in Vrajabhumi, one attains the platform of raganuga-bhakti
- One may ask, "What is a sadhu?" A sadhu is one who serves Krsna and engages in Krsna consciousness without reservation
- One may justifiably ask, "How can I serve?" It is not simply a matter of meditation, which is just an activity of the mind, but of performing practical work for Krsna. In such work, we should leave no resource unused - CC Intro
- One may serve (Krsna) as a servant, friend, father or mother
- One may then justifiably ask, "How can I serve?" Obviously this is not simply a matter of meditation, which is just an activity of the mind, but of practical work
- One may understand the science of the SPG from the Vedic literatures & thus become a devotee & worship Him within the regulative principles described in the scriptures, but one will not know in this way how Krsna is served by the residents of Vrajabhumi
- One must be very vigilant to remember that he is the part and parcel of the transcendental body of Krsna, and that it is his duty as part and parcel to give service to the whole, or Krsna
- One must sacrifice everything to realize Krsna, just as Arjuna did. He did not want to kill his family members, but when he understood that these family members were impediments to Krsna realization, he accepted the instruction of Krsna. BG 1972 purports
- One should adhere to the lotus feet of Krsna very tightly and serve Him under the direction of the spiritual master. Thus in all conditions one will be akuto-bhaya, free from fear
- One should also find representatives of Vidura who have no desire in life save and except to serve the Personality of Godhead
- One should be determined to serve the Supreme Lord by his occupational duty in Krsna consciousness; that is the perfectional point
- One should become an unalloyed devotee of the Personality of Godhead, Sri Krsna, and serve Him with rapt attention
- One should know that "I will have simply Krsna, nothing more." Then he is sannyasi. This mentality, that "I have nothing to serve, I have nobody to serve except Krsna." But if you serve Krsna, you will serve everyone
- One should serve the spiritual master first. It is not that one should bypass the spiritual master and desire to serve the Supreme Lord. This is not the principle for a Vaisnava
- One should understand Acyuta (Krsna), the supreme infallible, and how we are related with Him, and one should take to the service of the Lord. This is the perfection of life
- One who acts to serve Krsna with his body, mind, intelligence and words is a liberated person, even within this material world. - Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu 1.2.187

- One who has no other desire than to serve Krsna favorably, he is sadhu
- One who is actually devotee, he doesn't care where he is placed, in the hell or heaven, he doesn't care. He simply wants to serve Krsna, never mind where, not even heaven or hell
- One who wants to serve Krsna in conjugal love can attain a body under the guidance of the gopis. In this connection, the most vivid example is provided by those saintly personalities known as the srutis, who represent the Upanisads
- Only at that time is the attachment to Krsna perfect. Spontaneously, the devotee becomes eager to serve the Lord in his ecstatic love
- Only pure devotees, who have no motive other than serving Krsna, can give such transcendentally valuable benedictions (distribution of Krsna consciousness) out of charity
- Our constitutional position is like that. If we do not serve God, we do not agree... We are servant of God, but if we deny that "No, I am not servant," so that means I become servant of maya. Servant I'll have to remain. That is my constitutional position
- Our duty is to serve God. There is no other duty. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's preaching, that "You have no other duty, anything. That is all false illusion. If you have selected any other duty than to serve Krsna in Krsna cons., then you are foolish"
- Our Krsna consciousness movement is teaching how to serve Krsna from any position. It doesn't matter. Whether you are a brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya, sudra, lawyer, engineer, or film actor or anything, it doesn't matter
- Our Krsna family means Krsna is the master, and He is the supreme enjoyer. And if we understand this point, that Krsna is the center, He is the enjoyer, and we are meant for serving Him for His enjoyment, that is Krsna family
- Our life is dedicated to Krishna, and you should work for Him 24 hours. We have different varieties of service
- Our line of action is simultaneous service to the Spiritual Master and Krishna. Without being favoured by Krishna, nobody can have the association of a bonafide Spiritual Master
- Our philosophy is different. We do not wish to become enjoyer. We want to be enjoyed. That is our real position. We want to serve Krsna. We want to offer everything to Krsna
- Our position should be, our real active life begins when we begin to serve Krsna with our senses without being designated, without being situated in designation. This is transcendental state
- Our real business, our real occupation, is to serve Krsna, God. That is our... That service spirit, because we have forgotten God, or Krsna, we are serving somebody else
- Our real business, our real occupation, is to serve Krsna, God. That is our... That service spirit, because we have forgotten God, or Krsna, we are serving somebody else. That is called maya
- Our real occupational duty is to serve the Supreme. That is our real occupational duty. We are meant for serving. When we forget serving Krsna and we try to serve so many other things . . . means our lust, greediness, illusion, so many problems we serve
P
- Personalists, realize the Absolute Truth by understanding that because the Absolute Truth is the supreme predominator and we living entities are predominated, our duty is to serve Him
- Personally I am humble servant of Krishna as you are also, but I am deputed to accept your service just to transfer it to Krishna as via media. I shall try to do this service to you & Krishna throughout my life
- Please execute your program for distribution of literatures and Sankirtana, therefore, with increased vogor and may Krsna bless your sincere efforts to serve Him faithfully
- Positive engagement means serving Krsna. That positive engagement means, engagement means, acting means, the employment of the senses. So when we employ our senses in the positive activities, that is liberation
- Prahlada Maharaja says that, "He (Krsna) demands your surrender, your service or your wealth - ’You give Me everything.’ It is for your benefit. He is full
- Pray to Krishna to please keep us always engaged in the service of His Lotus Feet. Krishna is very kind, and He is never ungrateful, and will give you more and more opportunity to serve Him. That is His Mercy
- Premanjana-cchurita. Therefore our happiness, our real position, is to convert or transfer this service to Krsna, or God. That is our business. And when you transfer your service to Krsna, or God, you are serving
- Pure devotion means without any motive - "Krsna is my Lord. I am His eternal servant. It is my duty to serve" - no motive. That is pure devotion
- Putting flower garlands on His (Krsna) neck, dressing His hair, getting Him to lie down on the bed & assisting Him in taking His bath. Thus they (Krsna's wives) served always in every respect, especially when Krsna was eating
R
- Radharani is the best, topmost servitor of Krishna, and the printing machine is the biggest medium at the present moment for serving Krishna. Therefore, it is really a representative of Srimati Radharani

- Real facility is how to serve Krsna. That is real facility. So we should always ask, beg. That is the Caitanya Mahaprabhu's instruction
- Real sense is within. Hrsikena hrsikesa-sevanam (CC Madhya 19.170). We have to serve Krsna, Hrsikesa... Krsna is real, and we have to come to that position of reality. Then we can serve Krsna
- Relationships with the Lord are eternal, and therefore nitya-siddha devotees do not have to strive to attain the perfectional stage by executing regulative devotional principles. They are eternally qualified to serve Krsna
- Religion means to serve the Supreme Lord, that is religion. Anything which has no such idea, that is not religion. Then again (you) have different types of religion, how far they are making progress with, on that ultimate goal, serving Krsna
- Religion, I have already said, it is a kind of faith. Faith can be changed, but our constitutional position, occupational duty, that cannot be changed. We are eternal servant of Krsna, but without serving Krsna we are serving maya
- Renunciation means not doing anything but serving the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krsna. When one acts on this platform, trying to please the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one is both a sannyasi and a yogi. This is confirmed in the BG - 6.1
- Rukmini was very eager to get the opportunity to serve her husband, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. She therefore wanted to serve the Lord personally and took the handle of the camara from the hand of a maidservant and began to move the fan
- Rupa Goswami confirms: A person acting in KC (or, in other words, in the service of Krsna) with his body, mind, intelligence and words is a liberated person even within the material world, although he may be engaged in many so-called material activities
S
- Sadhu is representative of Krsna. Sadhu will never say that, "You serve me." Sadhu will say: "Serve Krsna." Therefore we have to approach Krsna through sadhu, not directly
- Sanatana Gosvami was a pure devotee of Krsna. A pure devotee has no business other than serving Krsna; consequently Krsna is always ready to help him. This benediction was given by Sri Caitanya to Sanatana, who was authorized to write Vaisnava smrti
- Santa Rasa devotee has got unflinching faith in Krishna as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but he has not developed the tendency to serve Him. The service stage is in relation with Bhagavan, the Person
- Sarva-dharman - You just surrender unto Me. Because your original creation is meant for serving Me
- Satya said, "On the way back, He was assaulted by many princes, but Lord Krsna defeated all of them, and thus I have the privilege of serving His lotus feet as a maidservant"
- Scarcity of language which you are now feeling in this connection (presenting Krsna Consciousness Movement in the circle of educated people) will be fulfilled by Krsna by the process of your eagerness to serve Him
- Serve Krsna to the best of your capacity and when you are 24 hours engaged in the transcendental loving service of the Lord that is the highest stage of transcendental bliss or Krsna Consciousness
- Service is being rendered to mistaken places; therefore we are not happy, neither the person whom we are serving, they are happy. This is the position. But as soon as you serve Krsna, Syamasundara, then you become happy, the whole world becomes happy
- Service to Lord Krsna can be rendered in two ways. One can serve the Lord in affection or in veneration
- Serving Krsna is not simply a matter of meditation, which is just an activity of the mind, but of performing practical work for Krsna

- Servitude (dasya), friendship (sakhya), parental affection (vatsalya) and conjugal love (srngara) are the four transcendental mellows (rasas). By the devotees who cherish these four mellows, Lord Krsna is subdued
- Significant in this verse (SB 7.15.45) are the words jnanasim acyuta-balah. Jnanasim, the sword of knowledge, is given by Krsna, and when one serves the guru and Krsna in order to hold the sword of Krsna's instructions, Balarama gives one strength
- Simply by administering comforts at the lotus feet of the Lord (Krsna), which is the most important of all services, the queens at Dvaraka, headed by Satyabhama, induced the Lord to conquer the demigods
- "Simply by serving Krsna you do all of your other duties." So such a nice thing, Krsna consciousness movement. Take it very seriously and do the needful
- Simply by your service attitude, to serve Krsna, beginning with the tongue. It is very wonderful. But utilizing your tongue, you can achieve Krsna very easily, by the tongue
- Simply favorably serving Krsna. Favorably, not unfavorably. Consciousness favorably. Just like Kamsa. Kamsa was also Krsna conscious, but he was simply planning how to kill Krsna. That kind of Krsna consciousness is not good
- Simply try to understand Krsna, that's all, even if you don't serve Him. But Krsna is so attractive, as soon as you understand Krsna, then you have to serve Him. You see? It is so nice
- Simply we have to become purified feelings that, "I must serve Krsna very nicely." Then He will give facilities, He will give you intelligence, He will give you everything. Because He is the source of everything
- Since he (Yamunacarya) has been engaged in the service of the lotus feet of the Lord, there is always a current of newer and newer desires flowing to serve the Lord, so much so that the stagnant desire of sex life becomes very insignificant
- Since I (Yamunacarya) have begun my life to serve Krsna, since that time, whenever I think of sex life I spit on it
- Since pure devotees give up their homes, wives, children, relatives, riches and even their lives simply to serve Me, without any desire for material improvement in this life or in the next, how can I (Krsna) give up such devotees at any time
- Since we have presented this dharma, to serve Krsna, it is working very wonderfully. We have got branches all over the world
- So far our International Society is concerned, we do not cheat. We speak the real truth. Here is God, Krsna. Here you are. Your relationship is to serve Him
- So here in this material world, we have disagreed to serve Krsna. Therefore the whole proposal is again agree to serve Krsna. Sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja (BG 18.66). This is real philosophy
- So Krsna, our relationship with Krsna, our service with Krsna, that is pleasure. Govinda. That is real sense pleasure. By seeing Krsna, by tasting Krsna, by smelling Krsna, by touching Krsna - everything, that is sense pleasure
- So long we remain forgetful where our service should be given, that is called material life. When we come to that consciousness that, "I have to serve Krsna," that is spiritual life. That is difference between material life and spiritual life
- So long we serve our senses and mind we remain in this material world, prakrti-sthani. And as soon as we revive our real consciousness, Krsna consciousness - we serve Krsna - that is liberation
- So long we shall want something for our sense gratification, without serving Krsna we shall suffer. That is the proposition. In different ways we shall suffer
- So long you want to enjoy this material world, you are in the material world. And as soon as you offer yourself to be enjoyed by Krsna as servant - according to His order you serve - then immediately you are in the spiritual world
- So there are two things: Krsna and maya; light and shadow. If you don't serve Krsna, then you have to serve maya. And those who are serving maya in the name of Krsna, they are called Mayavadi
- So there must be mutual responsibility by both parties, and now that you are married couple there is no question of your separation, but you must both strive very hard to serve Krsna together in harmony
- Some of them (those who are materialistic) aspire to enjoy themselves by sharing the happiness of Krsna. This is the mentality of fruitive workers who want to enjoy sense gratification by making a show of service to Krsna
- Somebody is serving Krsna as animal. Somebody is serving Krsna as fruits and flowers, as tree, as Yamuna water, or the beautiful cowherds men and damsels or Krsna's father, mother, so many with Krsna. Krsna is not imperson. So He has got so many lovers
- Somehow or other we do not like to serve Krsna; therefore we have been put into the service of maya, in the three modes of material nature. When a criminal does not like to obey the laws of the state, he is placed into prison & forced to abide by the laws
- Sometimes service to the devotee is more valuable than service to the Lord (Krsna). But here the affection of Kuntidevi for the Pandavas and the Vrsnis was due to family relation
- Sometimes we also have some parties in the temple. Someone wants to dress the Deity in a way, another wants to... Of course, they are not transgressing the rules & regulation, but still, everyone wants that "I shall serve the Lord in this particular way"
- Sooner or later we have to give up this body, but a Vaisnava may live or die for in either case he is always serving his Lord Krishna

- Srimati Kunti wanted to serve the Lord without diversion, and that was her prayer. This unalloyed devotion is the ultimate goal of life
- Such desire may seem to be a desire for enjoying the Lord, but actually the endeavor is to serve the Lord in that capacity. For example, a devotee may be desiring to associate with the Personality of Godhead as His cowherd friend
- Superficially we engage from four o'clock in the morning till ten o'clock at night, and that is resting time. But when one is advanced in devotional service, while sleeping he also serves Krsna
- Svamsas are His personal expansions, and we are His differential expansions, vibhinnamsas. In any case, all expansions are meant to serve Krsna. This is explained in the CC. - Lord Krsna alone is the supreme controller, and all others are His servants
T
- That (how can the people in general recognize when a devotee is pure?) is, I have already described. He has no material desire except to serve Krsna, or God. That is devotee. That is pure devotee
- That (to serve Krsna) is the real duty. But people do not know that. They are manufacturing their duty
- That is our mission: one God, one mantra, one scripture, one activity. One God: Krsna. One mantra: Hare Krsna. One scripture: Bhagavad-gita. And one activity: to serve Krsna. That's all. There is no two. One
- That is sadhu, who has no other business than to serve Krsna. He is sadhu
- That is the way of the activities of the Supreme Personality of Godhead: He does one thing in such a way that many other purposes are served
- The almighty Lord (Krsna) has His eternal transcendental abode where He is engaged in keeping surabhi cows. He is served by hundreds and thousands of goddesses of fortune
- The basic principle of creation is that this material world is the field of activities of the rebellious living entity. "I don't want to serve Krsna. I want to serve my senses." That is the whole world, going on
- The behavior of these confidential friends is described by a friend of Radharani, who told Radharani: "My dear graceful Radharani, Your intimate friend, Krsna, is also served by His intimate boy friends"
- The bhakti process purifies the living entity of all unnatural attractions. When one is purified he is attracted by Krsna and begins to serve Krsna instead of serving maya. This is his natural position

- The child is accepting service from the parents. Her business is only to accept. Torture and accept service. So devotees accept Krsna as son so that Krsna may simply torture them and accept service. That is the policy
- The clouds served as a soothing umbrella over Their heads just to make friendship with Krsna
- The complete process of perfectional service is to render service for the satisfaction of the transcendental senses of Lord Krsna, who is known as Janardana
- The complete social construction is the body of the Lord, and all the parts of the body, namely the brahmanas, the ksatriyas, the vaisyas and the sudras, are meant to serve the Lord's whole body conjointly
- The conception of servitude to Sri Krsna generates such an ocean of joy in the soul that even the joy of oneness with the Absolute, if multiplied ten million times, could not compare to a drop of it
- The desire of the impersonalist to merge into the existence of Brahman is also material because such an impersonalist wants to gratify his senses by merging into the existence of Krsna instead of serving His lotus feet
- The devotee becomes Krsna-ized by eating the remnants (of foods offered to Krsna). One who does not engage in such service cannot understand how this is so, although this is a process recommended in the Gita & in other Vedic literatures. BG 1972 purports
- The devotee must serve the Lord sincerely, and Krsna is always in the background to protect him and, if need be, to equip him fully to fight with his enemy
- The devotee of Lord Krsna has no desire other than serving Krsna. Even so-called liberated people are full of desires. Fruitive actors desire better living accommodations, and jnanis want to be one with the Supreme
- The devotee prayed, "They are always anxious to serve Krsna and to maintain Him, and they are always so kind to Him"
- The devotee should not be a mercantile man: "If You give me something, then I shall give You something." That is business. A devotee is not like that. He understands that he is eternal servant of Krsna, his duty is to serve Krsna
- The devotees dress Krsna, supply Him food, and always engage in serving Him, and similarly Krsna always sees to the happiness of His devotees. This is the intimate relationship between the devotee and Krsna
- The difference is that Krsna consciousness man knows that "I am eternal servant of God. Therefore let me willingly serve Krsna." And others, they are also serving Krsna, but by force, by maya, by the qualities of nature
- The elder gopis and gopas serve Krsna as father and mother, uncle and other relatives, and the young gopis, the cowherd girls, serve Krsna in conjugal love
- The exchange of devotional service is the subject, and Krsna is the object. The transcendental qualities are the causes of excitement. This means that the transcendental qualities of Krsna excite the devotee to serve Him
- The form of Krsna is described in the authoritative Vedic literature Brahma-samhita: His abode is made of cintamani stone, and the Lord plays there as a cowherd boy and is served by many thousands of gopis
- The friends and servants of Krsna were combined together in serving Him, and all of their activities are known as anubhava
- The Gopies and Radharani served Krishna without any expectation of material or spiritual profit. They never expected any return from Krishna and Krishna remained ever indebted to the Gopies
- The gopis are not as pleased when they directly mix with Krsna as when they serve to unite Srimati Radharani with Krsna. Their transcendental pleasure lies in uniting Them
- The gopis are the best of all, for they have the privilege of serving Sri Krsna, the primeval Lord, the son of the King of Vraja
- The gopis automatically achieved the highest perfection (by serving Krsna with great love). Therefore Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu recommended the affection of the gopis, either in maternal affection or in conjugal love, as the highest perfection in life
- The gopis could adopt any means to satisfy or serve Krsna. That was the superexcellent characteristic of the gopis

- The gopis saw the plants, creepers and forest trees loaded with fruits and flowers and ready to serve Krsna. In this way they immediately remembered their worshipable Krsna. They did not simply see plants, creepers and trees the way a mundaner sees them
- The gopis saw the plants, creepers and trees loaded with fruits and flowers and ready to serve Krsna. In this way they immediately remembered their worshipable Lord Sri Krsna. They did not simply see plants, creepers and trees the way a mundaner sees them
- The gopis suffered their relatives' punishment and scolding, all for the sake of serving Lord Krsna. They render loving service to Him for the sake of His enjoyment
- The happiness of liberation, whereby one merges into the Lord's existence, cannot even be compared to a fragment of the transcendental bliss obtained by service unto the Lord’s lotus feet
- The husband and wife (Jagannatha Misra and Sacimata), having gotten Visvarupa as their son, were very pleased within their minds. Because of their pleasure, they specifically began to serve the lotus feet of Govinda
- The impersonalists, they do not develop body. They simply remain as spirit particle. That is their idea. But we Vaisnava, we want to serve Krsna, therefore we require hands, legs and mouth and tongue, everything. So we are giving such body
- The important element, in preparation, in serving and in offering, is to act with love for Krsna. BG 1972 purports
- The ksatriya can serve the Supreme Lord by using his military arts, just as Arjuna served Krsna. Arjuna was a warrior; he had no time to study Vedanta or other highly intellectual books
- The land, water, cows, trees and flowers serve Krsna in santa-rasa, His servants serve Him in dasya-rasa, and His cowherd friends serve Him in sakhya-rasa
