Theme Analysis
Śrīla Prabhupāda details the all-pervading nature of God's energy. The entire cosmic manifestation, both material and spiritual, is nothing but the distribution of the Supreme Lord's multifarious energies (śakti). Just as the sun remains in one place but expands its light and heat everywhere, the Supreme Lord remains in His personal abode while simultaneously existing everywhere through His energy. While the Lord and His energy are non-different, the Lord is never overpowered by His own energy, unlike the conditioned souls who are trapped by the material modes. Śrīla Prabhupāda also explains that a pure devotee can perceive the presence of the Lord simply by meditating on how the material elements are manifestations of His supreme potencies.
- The Sun and its Sunshine: The Supreme Lord resides eternally in His personal abode, but like the sun radiating heat and light, His energies expand to manifest and sustain the entire universe.
