Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu is described by Śrīla Prabhupāda as the most magnanimous and kind incarnation of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. While Lord Kṛṣṇa is also kind and provides the path of surrender, Lord Caitanya is considered even more merciful because He does not place any conditions or demands upon the fallen souls of this age. He descends specifically to reclaim the afflicted souls of Kali-yuga by distributing the highest form of love of Godhead—kṛṣṇa-prema—through the simple and sublime process of chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra. His kindness is so vast that He overlooks the disqualifications, sins, and low births of the living entities, offering them the most confidential treasures of the spiritual world.
