Śrīla Prabhupāda explains the profound science of yoga, which literally translates to "link" or connection. The true purpose of human life is to reconnect our lost relationship with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Kṛṣṇa. Conditioned souls suffer in the material world simply because they have fallen under the spell of māyā, forgetting this eternal relationship and falsely claiming independence. However, an advanced devotee sees everything—from the elements of material nature to their own daily occupation—as intimately connected with Kṛṣṇa. True Kṛṣṇa consciousness means dovetailing all activities for His pleasure and not wasting a single moment on anything disconnected from His service. By chanting the holy names, following the guidance of the spiritual master, and residing in holy places, the conditioned soul immediately revives their original, joyful connection with Kṛṣṇa, ultimately transcending the miseries of material existence.

- You have to seek the mercy both of Krsna and guru, not that you have become so advanced that you are directly in connection with Krsna, and whatever you are doing, it is mercy. No. Don't think like that. It must be guided, it must be confirmed by guru
