The glorification of the holy name is the absolute essence of spiritual life in the current age. While the holy name is supremely merciful, a practitioner must strictly avoid the ten offenses to achieve the ultimate result. The holy name's power is absolute and cannot be subjected to mundane argument. The ninth offense is to preach these glories to faithless persons who have no intelligence or interest in the subject matter. While such people should be given the chance to hear the chanting, they should not be prematurely instructed in the deep spiritual significance of the holy name, lest they commit further offenses. Furthermore, to blaspheme the pure devotees who dedicate their lives to broadcasting these glories is considered the most severe offense, completely destroying one's spiritual progress.
