The philosophical essence of this category focuses on the multi-energies of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Although the Lord is one without a second and remains peacefully situated in His transcendental abode, He expands His presence throughout existence via His different energies (parasya śaktir vividhaiva śrūyate). The three primary categories of these energies are the internal (spiritual) energy, the external (material) energy, and the marginal energy (the living entities). The entire cosmic manifestation, including both puruṣa and prakṛti, is generated from these energies, much like heat and light emanating from a single fire. Śrīla Prabhupāda strictly refutes the Māyāvāda concept that the world is false or that God loses His personal form by transforming into the universe; instead, the Vaiṣṇava philosophy of acintya-bhedābheda-tattva (simultaneous oneness and difference) establishes that the energies are non-different from the Lord, yet the Lord Himself remains eternally distinct and unchanged. Understanding the Lord's different energies requires submission to a bona fide spiritual master and engaging in devotional service, as less intelligent men mistake the Lord's energetic manifestations for the ultimate cause.
