The philosophical essence of this category reveals the absolute, non-dual nature of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His paraphernalia. However, the Vedic literatures explain that the garments of the Lord are completely spiritual and non-different from the Lord Himself. The Lord's clothing also features prominently in His sweet earthly pastimes, such as Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu playfully bathing in the Ganges with His garments on, and Lord Rāmacandra demonstrating ultimate renunciation by giving away everything in charity except His personal clothes.
