Theme Analysis
Śrīla Prabhupāda discusses the supreme authority and compassion demonstrated through God's removing. The Supreme Personality of Godhead acts to remove all types of burdens and obstacles. When the earth is overburdened by demonic political leaders and unnecessary military buildup, the Lord descends (as Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma) to personally remove them. For the aspiring devotee, the Lord expertly removes the illusory curtain of māyā—sometimes by painfully removing their material assets and false relationships so they become fully dependent on Him. Furthermore, the advanced devotee constantly prays to the Lord, as stated in the Īśopaniṣad, to remove the dazzling effulgence of the brahmajyoti so they can see His supreme, blissful personal form.
- Removing the Global Burden: Whenever the earth becomes unbearably heavy with demonic kings and atheistic military forces, the Supreme Lord incarnates specifically to annihilate them and remove the burden.
- Removing the Shroud of Illusion: For the sincere soul seeking the Absolute Truth, the Lord graciously removes the covering of the illusory energy (yogamāyā) and reveals His transcendental position.
- Mercifully Removing Material Assets: In a special act of favor, the Lord may completely remove a devotee's material wealth and social standing, forcing them to take absolute shelter in His devotional service.
- Removing the Glaring Effulgence: Advanced transcendentalists pray to the Lord to remove the blinding rays of the brahmajyoti so they may gaze upon His most attractive, personal, and blissful face.
