The Supreme Personality of Godhead possesses unlimited and inconceivable potencies. According to Śrīla Prabhupāda, a pure devotee is never astonished by the wonderful actions of the Lord—such as His appearance as a gigantic boar—because the devotee knows that God is able to act in ways that completely baffle the brains of the most erudite mundane scientists. The Lord's capabilities are absolute; because of His all-pervasiveness, He is able to enter into the hearts of all living entities and even into the core of every atom. Although He remains comfortably in His own spiritual abode, He is able to effortlessly supervise and manipulate the entire cosmic manifestation.

One of the most profound displays of the Lord's omnipotence is His ability to neutralize the rigid laws of material nature. While every living entity is bound by a limited duration of life and strict karmic reactions, the Supreme Lord is fully able to nullify the results of one's past deeds. He is the only person able to neutralize the reactions of sinful activities, a power sought even by the sacred Ganges. Furthermore, even though conditioned souls are contaminated by sin, the Lord is so merciful and all-powerful that He is able to accept their service directly through His Deity incarnation.

Because the Supreme Lord is the ultimate father and maintainer, He is completely able to bless His devotees with all necessary opulences. A sincere soul does not need to artificially exert themselves for material gain; they simply need to take shelter of God, who is able to provide everything. As the supreme authority, Puruṣottama, He is also uniquely able to give definitive answers to all spiritual inquiries. When He empowers a surrendered soul, that expert devotee is then actually able to deliver others from the clutches of material existence.

The Lord's power seamlessly extends to His incarnations, expansions, and empowered servants. When an incarnation descends, He is fully able to keep the planetary systems in perfect order, assisted by the departmental demigods. He effortlessly defeats seemingly invincible enemies like the giant Kaṁsa, proving that His strength is unmatched. Moreover, He empowers exalted devotees and demigods; for instance, Lord Śiva, being a highly elevated Vaiṣṇava, is able to do anything he desires simply by the grace and sanction of the Supreme Lord.
