The philosophical essence of this category establishes the absolute supremacy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead as the original cause of all causes. Śrīla Prabhupāda explains that the Lord is the primeval origin of everything, including the material creation, the innumerable living entities, and all various energies. Furthermore, the Lord is the original energetic, and even the all-pervading Brahman effulgence and localized Paramātmā are simply manifestations resting upon His original form as Bhagavān. Although the Lord expands Himself into millions of incarnations like Nārāyaṇa, Rāma, and Varāha, He remains the oldest, original person, eternally fresh and youthful in His sac-cid-ānanda form. By understanding that God is the original light, one can seek true shelter in Him to overcome the darkness of material ignorance.
