Category:God Is The Predominator

Theme Analysis

The philosophical essence of this category establishes that the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the ultimate predominator, while all living entities and material energies are the predominated subjects. Śrīla Prabhupāda explains that although the Lord and the living entities share the same qualitative nature—both are eternal, cognizant persons—they differ entirely in quantity and position. God is the infinite maintainer, and the living entity is the infinitesimally small maintained. In the material world, conditioned souls falsely attempt to dominate material nature (prakṛti), only to be subjugated by the Lord's external energy (māyā). Conversely, in the spiritual sky, the Lord reigns as the supreme predominator of the Vaikuṇṭha planets. True liberation and eternal bliss are achieved only when the living entity abandons the illusion of false mastery and joyfully surrenders to be dominated by the supreme predominator in pure devotional service.

  • The Supreme Predominator: God is the supreme puruṣa, the ultimate enjoyer and predominator, while the living entities and material nature are His predominated energies.
  • The Illusion of Domination: Conditioned souls struggle to dominate the temporary material world, but true devotees desire only to be dominated by the Supreme Lord.
  • The Spiritual Kingdom: The spiritual sky is not a void; it is filled with innumerable Vaikuṇṭha planets where the Supreme Personality of Godhead acts as the predominating Deity.
  • The Bliss of Subordination: The highest transcendental exchanges, such as the rāsa-līlā, represent the perfect, blissful reciprocation between the absolute predominator and the fully surrendered predominated souls.
