Category:God Is The Proprietor

Theme Analysis

The philosophical essence of this category establishes that the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the ultimate proprietor of everything in the material and spiritual worlds. Śrīla Prabhupāda explains that while living entities may claim temporary ownership over their bodies, land, or resources, they are merely tenants or guests. The Lord, acting through His expansion as Paramātmā, is the actual landlord and owner of all bodies and senses. The false consciousness of independent proprietorship is the root cause of all national, social, and personal conflicts. True peace is achieved only when one realizes the great peace formula of the Bhagavad-gītā: that the Supreme Lord is the enjoyer of all sacrifices, the supreme friend of everyone, and the absolute proprietor of all planetary systems (sarva-loka-maheśvaram).

  • The Ultimate Owner: God is the original creator and therefore the rightful owner of all planets, wealth, and natural resources.
  • The Landlord and the Tenant: The individual soul is merely an occupier of the material body, whereas the Paramātmā is the supreme proprietor of all bodies and senses.
  • The Illusion of Ownership: Claiming property based on nationalism or personal greed is a symptom of ignorance and the primary cause of global conflict.
  • The Peace Formula: Complete spiritual and material peace can only be achieved by practically acknowledging that the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the proprietor, enjoyer, and friend of all.
