The philosophical essence of this category establishes that the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Viṣṇu or Kṛṣṇa, is the ultimate worshipable object for all living entities, including the highest demigods like Brahmā and Śiva. Śrīla Prabhupāda explains that while the impersonal Brahman and the localized Paramātmā are features of the Absolute Truth, it is the personal feature—Bhagavān—who is truly worshipable by the devotees. To facilitate this worship for conditioned souls, the Lord mercifully descends in His arcā-vigraha, the Deity form in the temple. Everything connected to the Lord, including His paraphernalia, His abode, and especially His pure devotees, is equally worshipable. By abandoning the worship of demigods and focusing on unalloyed devotional service to the Supreme Lord, a sincere soul becomes free from all obligations and attains the perfection of spiritual life.
