The philosophical essence of this category establishes the eternal, unchanging, and absolute nature of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, emphasizing what He "was" prior to creation, what He "was" during His historical descents, and how He remains untouched by material conditions. Śrīla Prabhupāda clarifies that the Lord was existing as a person before the cosmos was created, proving that His personality is not a product of material nature. When the Lord was historically present on earth as Kṛṣṇa, Rāmacandra, or Caitanya Mahāprabhu, He was not an ordinary human being subject to the laws of karma, nor was He ever entrapped by māyā (illusion). Even when He played the role of an innocent child, an obedient king, or a householder, He was still the supreme controller. Furthermore, because He was never an ordinary being, His protection of His devotees was, is, and always will be absolute and infallible.
- Existing Before Creation: The Lord declares that He was existing before the cosmic manifestation was animated. Therefore, His form cannot be material; He is the eternal, primeval Lord.
- Always the Supreme Controller: Even when the Lord descends to earth and plays human roles, He is never bound by them. If God were ever entrapped by māyā, illusion would be greater than God, which is philosophically absurd.
- Playing Human Roles: The Lord sometimes acts as an ordinary householder or an obedient king to set an example, yet even while playing these roles, He remains the Absolute Truth.
- Unrecognized by the Masses: When Kṛṣṇa was present on the Battlefield of Kurukṣetra, everyone saw Him, but only a few pure devotees could understand that He was the Supreme Lord. He is never exposed to the faithless.
- The Supreme Protector: Because the Lord was never an ordinary being, His protection of His devotees is absolute. He was always with Mahārāja Parīkṣit in the womb, and He was present to protect Prahlāda from his atheistic father.

- He (Akrura) remained stunned in ecstasy, as if devoid of all powers to see and speak. Lord Krsna, who is very kind to His devotees, raised Akrura with His hand and embraced him. It appeared that Lord Krsna was very much pleased with Akrura
- He (Narada) then entered another palace. This time Naradaji saw that Lord Krsna was engaged as an affectionate father petting His small children
- He (Rsabhadeva) could tolerate people's throwing stool and dust upon Him and beating Him. His body was transcendental and consequently did not at all suffer pain. He was always situated in His spiritual bliss
- He (the Lord) was only thumb high, but He was all transcendental. He had a very beautiful, blackish, infallible body, and He wore a dress of lightning yellow and a helmet of blazing gold. Thus He was seen by the child

- If God were ever entrapped by maya, maya would be more powerful than God. Such men say that God is all-powerful, but they do not consider that if He is all-powerful there is no possibility of His being overpowered by maya
- If God were gold, the living entity would also be gold. That is oneness in quality
- If He (God) were subject to the laws of the material world, how could He have created it? That the Lord is simultaneously identical with His creation and yet exists in His completeness apart from it is stated in Bhagavad-gita - 9.4-5

- In the spiritual world the SP of Godhead has all the dealings of love, displaying the symptoms called sattvika, sancari, vilapa, murccha and unmada. Thus when Lord Ramacandra was separated from Sita, all these spiritual symptoms were manifested

- No one was able to pacify the Lord (Nrsimhadeva) in His anger, but because the Lord was willing to exhibit His affection for Prahlada Maharaja, all the demigods and the others present before the Lord pushed Prahlada Maharaja forward to pacify Him

- One upon whom His mercy is bestowed can hear Him. The Lord was much pleased with Narada Muni, and therefore the necessary strength was invested in him so that he could hear the Lord
- Only by a transcendental vision are one's material hankerings fully satisfied. When the Lord was present, persons who were able to satisfy their material hankerings by seeing Him in true perspective were thus able to go back with Him to His kingdom

- Rahu could understand that Mohini-murti was cheating the demons, and therefore he changed his dress, disguised himself as a demigod, and sat down in the assembly of the demigods
- Rahu had been drinking nectar through his mouth, & before the nectar entered his body, his head was cut off. Thus his head remained alive whereas the body died. This wonderful act performed by the God was meant to show that nectar is miraculous ambrosia
- Reciters like the suta & the magadha were confidentially aware that Prthu was an incarnation of the Personality of God. Although He denied such praise because he was not at that time exhibiting his godly qualities, the reciters did not stop praising him
- Regarding Hiranya Pandita, it is said that once when Lord Nityananda, decorated with valuable jewels, was staying at his (Jagadisa Pandita's) home, all night long a great thief attempted to plunder these jewels but was unsuccessful
- Rsabhadeva's heart was always uncontaminated and spiritual. Consequently all the sons born from the heart of Rsabhadeva were spiritually inclined

- She (Mother Earth) reminded King Prthu that not only was he an incarnation of God, but he was situated as the King of the earth as well. Therefore his duty was to excuse her
- Since Mohini-murti had seated the demigods at a distant place, the demons thought that the demigods would get only a little of the nectar and that Mohini-murti was so pleased with the demons that She would give the demons all the nectar

- The brahmana priests were very hopeful that their sacrifice (the sacrifice performed by Daksa) would be carried out without obstacles now that Lord Visnu was present
- The chariot of Lord Krsna was marked with the flag bearing the insignia of Garuda, and as soon as the soldiers and warriors of the Yadu dynasty saw the flag, they could understand that Lord Krsna was on the battlefield
- The citizens of Ayodhya had the opportunity to see the Lord personally supervising the affairs of the state. He was not a sleeping monarch
- The Deity of Gopala had been buried within the jungle for many years, and although He was installed and was offered thousands of pots of water, He still felt very hot. He therefore asked Madhavendra Puri to bring sandalwood from the Malaya province
- The demigods must offer worship in obedience to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but one might argue that since the Supreme Godhead was within the womb of Devaki, He was also coming in a material body. Why then should He be worshiped

- This verse (CC Madhya 8.81) is from SB 10.32.2. When the rasa dance was going on, Krsna suddenly disappeared, and the gopis became so overwhelmed, due to His separation and their intense love for Him, that Krsna was obliged to appear again
