The foundation of authentic spiritual life requires abandoning the unreliable dictates of the material mind. Śrīla Prabhupāda continuously emphasizes that mental speculation is a flawed, completely material process that can never yield perfect knowledge of the Supreme Lord. Speculation only arises when a person refuses to directly accept what Kṛṣṇa says.
