The Vedic cosmology presents a breathtaking vision of reality where the material world—with its millions of universes—is merely a fraction of the total creation. Śrīla Prabhupāda explains that the spiritual world constitutes three-quarters of the total creation. This vast area, known as the paravyoma or spiritual sky, is filled with unlimited spiritual planets called Vaikuṇṭhas. Unlike material planets which require sunlight, every planet in the spiritual sky is self-illuminated. At the apex of this spiritual sky sits the supreme planet, Goloka Vṛndāvana, the abode of Lord Kṛṣṇa. The material universes are described as a small, insignificant prison house for rebellious souls, while the spiritual world is the eternal home of the liberated living entities who serve the Lord in varied relationships.
