- The Lord is like a desire tree. Anyone can have whatever he desires from the Lord, but people in general do not know what kind of benediction they should ask from Him
- The Lord wanted to exhibit His fighting spirit. And who will fight with Him? Therefore two of His devotees were resigned that they should go in the material world and fight with the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- The pilgrims take a bath, worship the deity and give charity; they are also recommended to fast one day. They should go to a place of pilgrimage and stay there at least for three days
- The pure devotees of Lord Visnu may rest assured of the Lord's protection, and as long as they are in this material world they should fully engage in devotional service by preaching the cult of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Lord Krsna
- The readers should relish this wonderful nectar because nothing compares to it. Keeping their faith firmly fixed within their minds, they should be careful not to fall into the pit of false arguments or the whirlpools of unfortunate situations
- The sons of India, those who are Indians, those who are proud of becoming Indian, they should take up this mission - of Caitanya Mahaprabhu
- The Visnudutas smiled, thinking, "What is this nonsense they (the Yamadutas) are speaking? If they are actually servants of Yamaraja they should know that Ajamila is not a suitable candidate for them to carry off
- The yajna is very simple - chanting the holy name of the Lord. So why not introduce that every home, every factory, every community, every place, they should sit down at least for half an hour and chant the holy name of the Lord ?
- The yoga system is for that purpose. Those who are too much bodily concept of life, bodily consciousness, they should practice this yoga—hatha-yoga, astanga-yoga—so that the mind can be purified
- The younger section of this country should take it very seriously, that they should take to Krishna Consciousness, and the next generation will be a different public, in the western world, who are materially and spiritually advanced & they will be happy
- There are many learned scholars and devotees present here. They should endeavor to remove this, I mean to say, restriction or short-sightedness, and let us combinedly work for Jagannatha to preach the bhakti cult for the benefit of the whole world
- There is great need of spreading Krsna consciousness in the human society. Those who are actually welfare workers, they should come forward and join this movement to spread it
- There is no harm in coeducation in the schools and colleges, provided the boys and girls are duly married, and in case there is any intimate connection between a male and female student, they should be married properly without illicit relation
- There is that inclination, pravrtti and nivrtti, but they should be synchronized, systematized, what things we should accept and what things we should reject. That we must learn
- There should be an ideal class of men who are bona fide brahmanas, and they should be given all protection
- These (satyam samo damas titiksa arjavam) qualities must be there in the society, some way or other. And they should cooperate. That is the perfection of society
- These brahmanas take to education, austerity and vows only for the purpose of maintaining the body. They shall be devoid of discrimination between what to eat and what not to eat
- These literatures are the solid ground upon which our preaching stands, so I want that they should be available to everyone, as many as possible
- These Western boys and girls, they are taking to Krsna consciousness. So they should have a place like Vrndavana
- They (a class of sahajiyas) should better consider His (Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's) instructions and, instead of seeking to be considered humble and meek, should refrain from criticizing the followers of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who engage in preaching
- They (all children and youths) should be taught to hear the instructions of Bhagavad-gita, to put them into practice in their lives, and thus to become strong in devotional service, free from fear of being degraded to animal life
- They (animals in Daksa's sacrificial arena) should not have been killed, as they were by Lord Siva to replace the head of Daksa with an animal's head . It was pleasing to see an animal sacrificed and rejuvenated, & that pleasing atmosphere had been lost
- They (everyone in the line of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's devotional cult) should go everywhere, to all parts of the world, accepting those places as their prabhu-datta desa, the places of residence given by the spiritual master or Lord Krsna
- They (fanatics) should not foolishly jump up to the activities of the internal energy, falsely attracted by the Lord's internal potential activities like His rasa-lila
- They (materialistic men) should know for certain that any amount of materialistic adjustment for becoming happy in a place which is meant for distress cannot benefit the misguided man
- They (Nilambara Cakravarti, Sacimata and Jagannatha Misra) decided that on that very same day, which was very auspicious, they should observe a festival for His (child Nimai's) name-giving ceremony
- They (people in general) should come out of it (conditional life) and be Krsna conscious and liberate themselves to transfer to the spiritual world. BG 1972 purports
- They (pure devotees in the renounced order) should have no occupation other than chanting the holy name of the Lord
- They (Raji's sons) considered it (kingdom of heaven) their paternal property (because Raji conquered the kingdom of heaven). Why then should they return it to the demigods? - when Indra, the heavenly king, begged Raji's sons to return it
- They (the American people) should take advice from the spiritual master, the representative of Krsna. If they do so, they will be happy, and theirs will be an ideal nation to lead the entire world
- They (the brahmanas and the Vaisnavas) should be worshiped. When their protection is performed, it is just like worshiping God. That is not exactly protection; it is a duty
- They (the citizens of the state) should preach the principles of Bhagavatam by (a) karma-yoga, or doing everything for the satisfaction of the Lord, (b) regular hearing of the Srimad-Bhagavatam from authorized persons or realized souls
- They (the citizens of the state) should preach the principles of Bhagavatam by (c) chanting the glories of the Lord congregationally at home or at places of worship, (d) rendering all kinds of service to bhagavatas engaged in preaching Srimad-Bhagavatam
- They (the citizens) should preach the principles of Bhagavatam by (e) residing in a place where the atmosphere is saturated with God consciousness. If the state is regulated by the above process, naturally there will be God consciousness everywhere
- They (the fathers and the guardians) should know that so many innocent children are victims of bad association awarded by the influence of this age of Kali
- They (the householders) should perform agni-hotra sacrifices as enjoined in the Vedic literature, but such sacrifices at the present moment are very expensive, and it is not possible for any householder to perform them. BG 1972 purports
- They (the human society) should take advantage of a life for which they may have labored millions of years to attain
- They (the impersonalists) should know that the rays of the sun are secondary to the sun, and similarly the impersonal gigantic form of the Lord is also secondary to the personal form as Purusottama. The Brahma-samhita (BS 5.38) confirms this statement
- They (the members of the KCM) should go everywhere to deliver the fallen souls by vibrating the Hare Krsna mantra and the instructions of Bhagavad-gita, Srimad-Bhagavatam and Caitanya-caritamrta. That will please the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- They (the scientists) are eager to hear through the medium of radio and television about things taking place far away from them on other planets, but they should know that the power of hearing and the instruments for hearing were given to them by the Lord
- They (the western civilization) have got some vague idea of God, practically no idea. But human life is not meant for that purpose, simply living very comfortably in material life. The other necessity is that they should know Bhagavan, become bhagavata
- They are seeing that the foreigners are here, there is some national feeling and they think why not our Christ? Whatever they are doing we do not approve. But that does not mean that they should stop their work, this factionalism will go on
- They are studying how the laws of nature is working. That's nice. But they should appreciate at the same time: Who made such subtle laws that they are working so nicely
- They do not know, that they should produce sufficient food grains. These, all these contraceptive methods, this and that, monogamy, they are trying for checking population. Is it not
- They have got their other worshipable. There is Jesus Christ, and others. Mostly they are coming from Christian family. Why they should agree to worship Krsna? No, it is there already
- They must have done pious activities in their previous life, all Americans. But they should know that this is their advantage to become Krsna conscious
- They should be taught how to worship the Supreme Lord at least twice in a day, sayam pratah, "in the morning and in the evening." Tri-sandhya. The prescription is for tri-sandhya. One should take bath three times
- They should be taught just to do like the elders, that is, rise early, cleanse, attend mangal arati, read our literatures, chant, go for sankirtana, like that, and besides that, a little ABC, mathematics, geography, history, that's all
- They should completely follow the principles of devotional service and remain free from illicit sex, gambling, intoxication and animal slaughter
- They should have been ashamed: - Lord Jesus Christ suffered for us, but we are continuing the sinful activities
- They should know perfectly well that - We are after false enjoyment. We have to come to the platform of real enjoyment
- They should know that it is for their benefit we are making them life members, not for our benefit. And that should be the motive
- They should make the citizens so nicely developed in their Krsna consciousness that they should be self-dependent, self-satisfied. That is the ideal of civilization
- They should not foolishly dream of world peace unless they are prepared to surrender fully to Krishna as Supreme Lord
- They should not try to teach Bhagavad-gita to others, because he has no knowledge. This knowledge has to be received by parampara system. So simply by academic career, by knowledge of A-B-C-D, you cannot understand Bhagavad-gita
- They should strictly follow the regulative principles by avoiding illicit sex, meat-eating, gambling and intoxication
- They should understand the gravity of this movement, my presentation of books. They haven't got so many books. Two thousand years passed, the Christian religion has got only one book, Bible. And their only pastime of Christ is crucifixion
- Thing is that they are studying the laws very nicely. That's good. But they should appreciate that who has made this law. That is their defect
- Thinking that because the brahmanas have no material desires they should possess the entire world, Lord Ramacandra delivered the land between the east, west, north and south to the acarya
- This (Krsna Consciousness movement) is the only movement for respiritualization of the whole world. And those who are intelligent, they should come forward and cooperate with this movement
- This arca-murti, it is not idol worship. You practically try to understand. If it was idol worship, then these boys and girls, they are American boys and girls, intelligent, educated, they should not have spared so much time for worshiping one idol
- This example should be followed by all, especially those who are Krsna conscious, for they should serve Krsna by their respective abilities
- This is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mission. Those who have taken birth in India, Bharata-bhumi, they should make their life perfect by understanding the Vedic knowledge. And the Supreme Lord Krsna comes here to teach the Vedic knowledge
- This is the way of materialistic life. Life means that they should not work. Working hard, very hard working, that is the animal's business
- This Krsna consciousness is very urgent necessity for the human society. They should learn how to love Krsna. Then everything will be adjusted, very easily. It is not utopian theory; it is practical
- This Krsna consciousness movement is the topmost education, culture. Those who have come to Krsna consciousness movement, they should seriously take it and try to understand Krsna
- This program is very nice to try to attract the attention of the students seriously. That will be a great success. They should put intelligent questions and they should be answered properly with reference to modern science and philosophy
- Those interested in Krsna consciousness should not be eager to accept rules and regulations for economic advancement, yet they should very faithfully accept scriptural rules and regulations for the advancement of Krsna consciousness
- Those who are actually devotees and followers of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu must accept devotees from all parts of the world as pure Vaisnavas. They should be accepted not artificially but factually
- Those who are actually intelligent, they should not neglect this movement, KC movement. It is the greatest welfare movement for the whole human society to make people God conscious, KC, without which there will be so many troubles. It is already there
- Those who are being initiated, they are being freed from the resultant action of past sinful life. But they should be careful not to commit again sinful activities. Then they are safe
- Those who are devotees, they are supposed to be not sinful. Naturally, they should be sinless. That is confirmed in the Bhagavad-gita. Without becoming sinless, one cannot completely devote himself in Krsna consciousness
- Those who are finding out the original cause of material creation, they should know this fact, that creation takes place when there is spirit soul. That means living
- Those who are going to be initiated, they should take it as a vow not to fall down again. Catch Krsna's lotus feet very tightly and you'll not fall down
- Those who are inclined to eat meat may eat the flesh of unimportant animals like hogs, dogs, goats and sheep, but they should not touch the life of the cows, for this is destructive to the spiritual advancement of human society
- Those who are martial, having fighting spirit, they should be selected as ksatriya
- Those who are preaching Krsna consciousness, they should not be afraid of this hell and heaven. Wherever they should go, they will simply preach, "Chant Hare Krsna." This is their business
- Those who are preaching the message of God, they should not be blasphemed. And then never interpret in the scriptures or in the chanting of Hare Krsna
- Those who are servants of Krsna, devotees of Krsna, they should take the mission of Krsna. They should take up the mission of Krsna. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's version - amara ajnaya guru hana tara ei desa, yare dekha, tare kaha, 'krsna'-upadesa
- Those who are tapasvis, they should reduce sleeping also. Just like the Gosvamis did: only one and a half hour or utmost two hours. That also sometimes not. Actually, we should reduce this. Nidrahara-viharakadi-vijitau
- Those who cannot strictly follow our principles, they should not come here. It is bad example. By mistake if somebody does, he should be regretful and he should rectify. That is another thing. But not willingly he should neglect
- Those who desire to eat meat may satisfy the demands of their tongues by eating lower animals, but they should never kill cows, who are actually accepted as the mothers of human society because they supply milk
- Those who want to be leader of the society, they should be ideal persons, they should be Krsna conscious person. Then the whole world will be happy
- To have an equal distribution of state-raised taxes, the citizens need to be scrupulously honest and virtuous. They should be honest in the payment of taxes to the state and should have honest representatives to look over the administration
- To see personally the Supreme Personality of Godhead or His pure devotee is not an ordinary incident. When such things happen, they should be understood to be caused by previous pious activity, as confirmed in Bhagavad-gita

- Varnasrama college especially meant for the brahmana, ksatriya and vaisya. Those who are not fit for education, they are sudras. That's all. Or those who are reluctant to take education - sudra means. That's all. They should assist the higher class
- Vasudevah sarvam iti sa mahatma sudurlabhah (BG 7.19). This is wanted. At least, one must know. Why they should be kept in darkness? What is this civilization? They have got light. The knowledge is there. They can be educated
- Visvanatha Cakravarti . . . saksad dharitvena samasta-sastraih. He also refers to the sastra, not that he is opining by his own intellect. No. That is the speciality of learned scholars and devotees. They should immediately give evidence from the sastra
- Vyasadeva or big, big saintly person, they have no business to present before you something mythology. Why they should waste time in that way? It is simply rascaldom to think all the statement as mythology. Not mythology. We have no knowledge

- We are trying to create a position that not only the Indians have got this responsibility, but according to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, anyone - prthivite ache yata nagaradi grama (CB Antya-khanda 4.126) - they should take up this missionary work
- We are trying to enlighten humanity so that people may come to the understanding that they should work hard in tapasya for self-realization and freedom from the continuous bondage of birth, death, old age and disease in one body after another
- We cannot understand father unless there is son. We cannot understand good man unless there is bad man. So these things, duality or relative world, they should exist in this material world
- We have created these GBCs. So they should be very responsible men; otherwise, they will be punished. They will be punished to become a sudra
- We have to inform people that there is a fire of maya which is burning the very vitality of all living entities, and they should guard against the indefatigable onslaught of material existence. That should be our motto
- We invite everyone. At least after the age of fifty they should come here in Vrndavana. They should live peacefully and take shelter at the lotus feet of Krsna-Balarama and be happy in this life and get salvation in next life
- We want to create some ideal men. People will see them, and at least they will understand that "Here are the ideal men." They will be ashamed. So those who are in Krsna consciousness movement, they should be sreyan - the best men in the society
- When enemies come to their opponent's place, they should be received in such a way that they will forget that there is animosity between the two parties. Bali Maharaja was well conversant with the arts of peacemaking and fighting
- When the people are perplexed in this way (not having sufficient food grains), they should approach the head of government, and the president or king should take immediate action to mitigate the distress of the people
- When they (the sons of Dhrtarastra) tried to disrobe Draupadi in the assembly, Bhisma and Drona were silent, and for such negligence of duty they should be killed. BG 1972 purports
- When they're initiated before the Deity, before the Lord, before the fire, they should not break it. That is most sinful if you break your promise. Otherwise, you should not be coming forward for initiation if you cannot keep your promise
- When woman, when she is misguided, she becomes dangerous. There is no question of love. But one thing, according to Vedic conception life, that women and children are on the same level, so they should be given protection by men
- While in Vrndavana, you may also see my rooms at Radha-Damodara Temple and they should be repaired and made very nice. They are my rooms and I want that they should be made ready
- Whole instruction is that all sleeping members of the human society, they should take advantage of this Krsna consciousness movement and willingly they should accept. Then there will be immediate effect and everyone will be out of the clutches of maya
- Why such a big country, American country, why they should import? But they are obliged to import. They have no workers
- Why they are inventing these such new things like marching and japa like military? What can I do from such a distant place? They should run and play when they are small children, not forced to chant japa, that is not the way
- Why this ordinary question to be repeatedly made and I answer? A waste of time. This is a serious movement. One should be responsible men, leaders of the society. If you want to take some benefit out of this movement, they should question
- Why we should treat the animals as different? Because there is no KC. I have got my consciousness that, "The human beings in America are my brothers, or my countrymen. They should be given all protection." And why not cows? They are also born in America
- Woman also should be taken care of. They should not be given freedom. That is not good for them. They should be protected by the father in childhood, by the husband in youthhood, and by the grown-up children in old age
- Woman and man should not mix. No. But they should mix together for producing Krsna conscious children
- Woman, according to Vedic civilization, they are not recommended freedom. They should be taken care just like children are taken care of
- Women, by nature they should remain subordinate. It does not mean, "Because somebody is my subordinate, therefore I shall cut his throat or her throat." No

- You cannot give independence to the children. That is not possible. Then it is not good for them. Similarly, woman also should be taken care of. They should not be given freedom. That is not good for them
- You sit down. Now, we shall see how the soul transmigrates from this body to another. You cannot see. You cannot see. Our eyes are not qualified to see it. Therefore the all the senses, they should be spiritualized
