The extensive teachings of Śrīla Prabhupāda reveal the supreme position of Lord Viṣṇu as the sole maintainer of the cosmic manifestation. While Lord Brahmā creates and Lord Śiva annihilates, the intricate task of sustaining the innumerable universes rests entirely upon Lord Viṣṇu and His puruṣa expansions. Despite His direct involvement in overseeing the material world, He remains completely aloof from the modes of material nature, standing eternally situated in pure goodness.
- The Sole Maintainer: Although Lord Brahmā and Lord Śiva execute creation and destruction, neither possesses the capacity to maintain the universe; this supreme function is the exclusive domain of Lord Viṣṇu.
