Theme Analysis

The words of the Supreme Personality of Godhead are perfect, deathless, and entirely free from the defects of the material world. Śrīla Prabhupāda explains that the Lord's instructions, which are preserved in the revealed scriptures or śāstras, carry absolute authority and are never subject to change or mundane interpretation. For the pure devotees, hearing these nectarean words is the source of greatest joy, leading to complete spiritual absorption and the awakening of pure love. Conversely, those without faith, being disturbed by material necessities or demoniac mentalities, fail to understand the clear and unambiguous message of the Lord.

  • The Direct and Unchangeable Authority: The words of God are absolute and perfect. They cannot be changed or subjected to nonsensical commentary, as they establish the ultimate religious principles for all human society.
  • Transforming Hearts Through Hearing: Simply by hearing the pleasing and nectarean words of the Supreme Lord, a conditioned soul is purified, freed from material consciousness, and able to conquer the Lord through unalloyed love.
  • Internal Revelation: Advanced devotees and great personalities, such as Lord Brahmā, can perceive the transcendental sound vibration of the Lord's words directly within their hearts, proving that His communication is not limited by physical space.
  • The Misunderstanding of the Faithless: Due to a lack of perfect knowledge and a rebellious attitude, demons and faithless individuals falsely consider the Lord's words to be ambiguous, unreliable, or subject to partiality.
