The words spoken by a genuine sādhu are non-different from the absolute truth found in the revealed scriptures. Śrīla Prabhupāda explains that a true saintly person never manufactures their own philosophy or speaks outside the boundaries of śāstra and guru. Because their speech is pure and uncompromising, it carries the unique spiritual potency required to sever a conditioned soul's deep-rooted attachments to the material world. Therefore, the actual process of associating with a sādhu, known as sādhu-saṅga, is not based on seeing their physical form, but on submissively hearing their nectarean and liberating instructions.
