Navadvīpa, the birthplace of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, is a transcendental abode nondifferent from Vṛndāvana. Located in the Nadia district of Bengal, it consists of nine islands (navadvīpa) representing the nine processes of devotional service. - Nilambara Cakravarti lived at Navadvipa, in the neighborhood of Belapukuriya. This fact is mentioned in the book Prema-vilasa. Because he lived near the house of the Kazi, Kazi was also considered one of the maternal uncles of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu
- Not very many years ago, a brahmana in Krsnanagara, near Navadvipa, was offered some help from the local Zamindar, Raja Krsnacandra. The brahmana refused to accept the help

- Sri Buddhimanta Khan was one of the inhabitants of Navadvipa. He was very rich, and it is he who arranged for the marriage of Lord Caitanya with Visnupriya, the daughter of Sanatana Misra, who was the priest of the local zamindar

- The Bhakti-ratnakara (Seventh Wave), informs us that after the disappearance of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Gadadhara dasa went from Navadvipa to Katwa. Thereafter he came to Endiyadaha and resided there
