The philosophical essence of this category explores the infinite ways the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Kṛṣṇa, reveals Himself. Although the Absolute Truth is one without a second, He is by nature blissful and dynamic, desiring to enjoy through unlimited expansions. He therefore manifests Himself through His diverse energies: the internal potency (spiritual world), the external potency (material world), and the marginal potency (the living entities). The material cosmic manifestation is an exhibition of only one-fourth of His total energy, while the eternal spiritual sky comprises three-fourths. Within the material realm, the Lord manifests as the three puruṣa-avatāras (Mahā-Viṣṇu, Garbhodakaśāyī Viṣṇu, and Kṣīrodakaśāyī Viṣṇu) to create and maintain the universe, and as the guṇa-avatāras (Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Śiva) to control the modes of nature. Furthermore, the Lord compassionately descends as various incarnations, manifests as the all-devouring time factor, and even appears as the bona fide spiritual master to deliver the conditioned souls. Because all these manifestations are emanations of His energy, Vaiṣṇava philosophy concludes that the Lord is simultaneously one with and different from His manifestations (acintya-bhedābheda-tattva).
- The Diverse Energies: Everything we perceive is a manifestation of the Supreme Lord's energies. Just as heat and light are manifestations of fire, the entire spiritual and material cosmos is a manifestation of the Lord's diverse potencies.
- The Cosmic Creators: The Lord enters the material manifestation through three primary features known as the puruṣa-avatāras, managing the creation from the Causal Ocean down to the heart of every individual living entity.

- The Lord generates the material manifestations by impregnating the material energy, and then, within the manifestation, He expands Himself as the gigantic form of the visva-rupa
- The Lord in His abode called the Vaikuntha planets, which are eternal manifestations, always remains with His associates and enjoys transcendental loving services by His pure devotees in different transcendental humors
- The Lord is here (in BG 9.29) stated to be partial to the devotees. This is the manifestation of the Lord's special mercy to the devotees. BG 1972 purports
- The Lord is the cause of all the manifestations of living entities in this material world. BG 1972 purports

- The Lord possesses His internal energy, His external, marginal and relative energies, the manifestation of the cosmic world and the living entities. The external energy is manifested by the qualitative modes (gunas) of material nature
- The Lord's dreaming conditions are also factual manifestations. He can therefore bring everything under His transcendental control, and thus whenever and wherever He does appear, He does so in His fullness
- The Lord's pastimes with the gopis are all displays of transcendental existence, bliss and knowledge, although these are manifested apparently as sex love. The specific attraction of His pastimes with the gopis should never be misunderstood

- The material energy is a manifestation of His external potency, and since the potency is identical with the potent, it appears that the Lord and individual soul are one; but actually the individual soul is under the influence of material energy

- The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Vasudeva, is one with the Supreme Brahman, the Supreme Absolute Truth. Everything is in Him in the beginning, and at the end all manifestations enter into Him

- The Vaikunthas are spiritual planets which are manifestations of the internal potency of the Lord, and the ratio of these planets to the material planets (external energy) in the material sky is three to one

- There are many millions and billions of planets far beyond the scientist's calculation. But these are only the manifestations of the Lord's material energy. What can the scientist hope to know of the spiritual potency of the Lord by such material efforts
- There are two kinds of energies in the matter of creation. The Lord creates this material world through His external, material energy, whereas the spiritual world is a manifestation of His internal energy

- This (three-fourths manifestation of God's creation) part is eternal, everlasting, without deterioration, and unlimited, and it contains the highest perfectional stage of living conditions
- This cosmic manifestation is separated from the Supreme Lord as material energy by means of kala, which is the unmanifested, impersonal feature of the Lord

- This material world is called dvaita, the world of duality. A devotee knows very well that everything within this material world is but a manifestation of the Supreme Lord's energy
- Those who are personal devotees of the Lord take everything to be the property of the Supreme Lord. Everything, whatever we see, is the manifestation of the Supreme Lord; therefore, everything should be engaged in the service of the Lord. This is oneness
- Time cannot deteriorate or interfere with the conditions in the spiritual world, where different manifestations of the Lord are the recipients of the worship of different living entities in their constitutional spiritual positions
- Time factor is another manifestation of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The beginning of creation, that is the beginning of kala. So that beginning is started by the Supreme Personality of Godhead: sa aiksata. These are the Vedic information

- Vaisnava philosophers do not accept the different manifestations of the energy of the Supreme Lord as false; they accept them as nondifferent from the Supreme Personality of Godhead because they are a display of His diverse energies
- Vaisnavas worship the forms of Lord Visnu in His varied manifestations, such as Radha-Krsna, Laksmi-Narayana, Sita-Rama and Rukmini-Krsna
- Variegatedness is expanded as the spiritual expansion of the Supreme Godhead Himself, for the manifestation there is totally of the spiritual energy, as explained in Chapter Seven
- Vibhuti, as used in this verse (of BG 10.19), refers to the opulences by which He (the Supreme Lord) controls the whole manifestation. BG 1972 purports
- Virat (the phenomenal manifestation of the Supreme Whole), hiranyagarbha (the numinous soul of everything), and karana (the cause, or causal nature) are all but designations of the purusas, who are responsible for material creation

- We should not understand the sleeping condition of the Lord to be the same as our sleep. Here the word yoga-nidra is specifically mentioned, which indicates that the Lord's sleeping condition is also a manifestation of His internal potency
- Whatever living thing we see is simply a combination of these two energies (superior and inferior). When an advanced devotee thinks of these energies, he immediately understands that they are manifestations of the Supreme Lord
- When He (The Lord) desires to fight with someone, He has to find an enemy, but in the Vaikuntha world there is no enemy. Therefore He sometimes comes to the material world as an incarnation in order to manifest His fighting spirit
- When He manifests all His qualities in fullness, He is called most complete. This is the version of all learned scholars in the devotional science
- When Maha-Visnu enters into the manifested universes, He again manifests Himself as the Supersoul in each and every entity. BG 1972 purports
- Within the universe the Lord is situated in different spiritual manifestations. These are situated on seven islands in nine sections. Thus Their pastimes are going on

- You are so merciful to Your devotees that You manifest Yourself in the particular eternal form of transcendence in which they always think of You
- You manifest Your different energies in countless forms:as all living entities, both moving and standing, including the demigods, the learned sages and the pitas; as outer space, as the higher planetary system containing the heavenly planets
- Your multienergies are continually manifest, but the impersonal Brahman, which is undivided, original, changeless, unlimited and blissful, is the cause of the material manifestation
