Theme Analysis
Śrīla Prabhupāda explains that the conditioned soul constantly attempts to find happiness by adjusting the material world. Through economic development, technological advancement, and building skyscrapers, society tries to create a comfortable situation. However, trying to be happy by adjustment of this external energy is ultimately futile. Because the living entity is a spirit soul, material food and material arrangements cannot satisfy them. True happiness is only found by surrendering to Śrī Kṛṣṇa and adopting a spiritual life. The karmīs and jñānīs miss this secret of success, searching for peace through mundane adjustments or impersonal liberation, while the pure Vaiṣṇava simply engages in devotional service.

- A life in this material world is like a blazing forest fire. No one goes to set fire to the forest, yet the fire takes place. Similarly, everyone wants to be happy in the material world, but the miserable conditions of material life simply increase
