Theme Analysis

Human beings often attempt to formulate their own religious codes based on mental speculation, cultural norms, or philanthropic ideas. However, genuine spiritual codes cannot be manufactured by any mortal entity, as they are enacted directly by the Supreme Lord. The core principle established by God is that the soul must abandon all secondary duties and fully surrender to Him.

  • Divine Authorship: Authentic religious principles are not created by ordinary humans or even elevated demigods; they are dictated exclusively by the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
  • The Principle of Surrender: The ultimate and most confidential instruction of all religious codes is to give up all other engagements and completely surrender to Kṛṣṇa.
  • The Mission of the Lord: When true religion is lost, Kṛṣṇa personally descends to reestablish the actual principles of dharma, protect the pious, and vanquish the demonic.
  • Beyond the Material Modes: Genuine spiritual principles transcend the three modes of material nature and aim to permanently stop the living entity's repetition of birth and death.
