Category:God Is Always God
Theme Analysis
The Vedic literatures firmly establish the absolute and eternal nature of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, confirming that God is always God. According to Śrīla Prabhupāda, a fundamental misconception of Māyāvādī philosophers and modern speculators is the belief that one can become God through meditation, penance, or mystic yoga. This concoction is entirely rejected by the Vedic authorities. God is not manufactured, nor is He a petty entity who falls down into illusion and must meditate to regain His position. The Supreme Lord is never made; He is the eternal, infallible controller.
Unlike an ordinary living being who must acquire knowledge or mystic power, Kṛṣṇa is God from the very moment of His appearance. Whether He is lying as a baby on the lap of His mother, lifting the Govardhana Hill as a seven-year-old boy, or driving a chariot on the Battlefield of Kurukṣetra, His supreme position remains perfectly intact. He does not need to perform austerities to realize His divinity. Even when displaying His universal form or acting as the dwarf incarnation Vāmanadeva, He proves that God is God in any circumstance or stage of growth.
Materialists and demons, bewildered by ignorance, often harbor the desire to become God or even to kill God, much like the tyrannical Kaṁsa. They imagine that God-worship is anthropomorphic or that mere mortals can elevate themselves to the supreme status by their own endeavor. However, human imagination cannot create God. While a living entity can attain godly qualities to a certain extent, man is always man and God is always God. Therefore, the highest intelligence is to abandon the foolish endeavor of trying to become the Lord and instead surrender to the eternal Supreme Person who is never subject to material degradation.
- Never Manufactured: God is not created through mystic power, meditation, or austerities; the Māyāvādī theory that one can become God is completely false.
- Divine in All Stages: Kṛṣṇa does not need to grow into His power; He is perfectly and completely God even as an infant on the lap of His mother.
- Consistent Supremacy: Whether lifting Govardhana Hill, fighting at Kurukṣetra, or expanding as Vāmanadeva, the Lord's divinity is constant in all circumstances.
- The Folly of Demons: Ignorant materialists and demons like Kaṁsa falsely believe they can kill God or become God, but man is always man, and God is always God.

- A living being can attain godly qualities to a large extent, but he cannot become God, whereas Krsna, without undergoing any type of penance, is God always, either in the lap of His mother or growing up or at any stage of growth
- A spiritual thing cannot be manufactured - as God cannot be manufactured. God is always God, and the words of God is also God
- Although out of ignorance one might claim that mere mortals are God, that does not change the reality - that man is always man and God is always God, and never otherwise
- As far as Krsna is concerned, He is God always, either as a child on the lap of His mother, or as the coverer of the universe, Vamanadeva. He does not require to become God by undergoing severe penances, although some men think of becoming God that way
G
- God is always God. The Mayavadi philosopher says that, "I am God, but I am, by maya, I am thinking I am not God. So by meditation I shall become God." But that means he is under the punishment of maya
- God is not a petty thing, that He dies, or one is manufactured by meditation, he become God. This kind of God has no value. God is always God
- Guru will never say: "Now I have become God." No. God does not become. God is always God. So God is God and guru is guru. But, as a matter of etiquette, God is the sevya God, worshipable God, and guru is the worshiper God
K
- Krsna's showing the universal form of the S. P. of God, even when lying down on the lap of His mother, proves that God is always God, whether He is manifested as a child on the lap of His mother or as a charioteer on the Battlefield of Kuruksetra
- Krsna, when He was a boy of seven years old, He lifted the Govardhana Hill. That is God. Not that "Here is a man. By mystic power He has become God." No. That God is different God. Real God is always God
T
- The concoction of the impersonalists, that one can become God by meditation or by some artificial material activities, is herewith declared false. God is always God in any condition or status
- The materialistic theory that God-worship is anthropomorphic is not correct. No living being can become God by undergoing meditation or austerities. God is always God. Krsna as a baby is as complete as He is as a full-fledged youth
- The modern fashion is that they want to become God by meditation, by advancement of mystic power. But that kind of God is not Krsna. Krsna does not become God; He's God always. Others, they try to become God by mystic power
- They (Demons) want to see there is no God. Or to kill God. Kamsa, always thinking, "As soon as Krsna will take His birth, I'll take the baby and kill." But God is always God
- This is all nonsense (to claim that God meditates, and by His meditation He becomes God). God is God, & He was always God and will always be God. Even as an infant on the lap of His mother Krsna is God. No meditation was required, no austerity or penance
