- Maharaja Prthu inquired from the four Kumaras about the fallen conditioned souls who are rotting in this material world due to their past bad or inauspicious activities. Is there any possibility for their auspicious spiritual life
- Maharaja Yudhisthira was obliged to see hell because of a slight deviation from devotional service to the Lord. Therefore, duḥsvapna—bad dreams—occur because of sinful activities
- Man is good, because he is part and parcel of God; woman is good, part and parcel of God; but when they unite, they become bad. Tayor mithadi hrdayanti-maho

- Paramananda Puri said, "My Godbrother Ramacandra Puri is by nature a bad critic. If You give up eating because of his words, what will be the profit"
- Prahlada Maharaja is the guide of all the mandas, or bad living entities who are under the influence of maya. He is the benefactor even of the slow and bad living entities in this material world
- Preyas means immediate. Just like we eat something which I may not digest, or it may have some bad effect later on. But people are interested - the immediate benefit, without calculation of future benefit
- Putana Raksasi - she also offered Krsna poison. But Krsna is so nice that He thought, "She took Me as My mother," so He took the poison & delivered her. Krsna does not take the bad side. A good man does not take the bad side - he takes only the good side
- Putana wanted to kill Krsna. That was her plan. But Krsna, because He sucked the breast of Putana, He took him (her) as His mother. This is Krsna. Krsna never takes the bad side. Krsna takes always the bright side

- Sati accused her father: You are just the opposite. Although Lord Siva has so many good qualities and no bad qualities at all, you have accepted him as bad and found fault with him
- Satya-yuga means perfect age. Then Treta-yuga - one-fourth less of perfection. And then Dvapara-yuga - half less; and Kali-yuga - three-fourth less. Three-fourth bad elements and one-fourth good elements. That is also very rare
- Simply because of hearing this narration, they gain a reputation as devotees, they are unaffected by the contamination of Kali-yuga, and they never see bad dreams

- The bad leader (in the forest of material existence) is diverted intelligence. Intelligence is meant for Krsna consciousness, but due to material existence we divert all our intelligence to achieve material facilities

- The Christian religion says in the beginning, first commandment, "Thou shalt not kill," and you are simply killing. So where is Christian? Christian religion is not bad. No religion is bad
- The devotees are above this material goodness and badness. They are progressive on the path of transcendence, and therefore they have no desire for anything material

- The King thought to himself: Persons who have no son are certainly fortunate. They must have worshiped the Lord in their previous lives so that they would not have to suffer the unbearable unhappiness caused by a bad son
- The living entity by nature has minute independence to choose his own good or bad fortune, but when he forgets his supreme master, the Personality of Godhead, he gives himself up unto the modes of material nature
- The material body and mind are bad bargains for the spiritual living entity. The living entity has actual functions in the living, spiritual world, but this material world is dead
- The materialists conclusions of good and bad, moral and immoral, etc., are simply mental concoction or sentiment. Actually there is nothing good in the material world
- The more a person engages in the service of the Lord, the more he is important; and, conversely, the more one is bereft of the transcendental service of Krsna, the more he invites the bad fortune of material contamination
- The people of this age are described as mandah sumanda-matayo manda-bhagya hy upadrutah. In other words, they are extremely bad and slow to understand the opulence of the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- The personality of Kali became gold-standardized. According to Srimad-Bhagavatam, gold encourages falsity, intoxication, prostitution, envy and enmity. Even a gold-standard exchange and currency is bad
- The population in this age, almost all of them, are manda - means bad or very slow - they do not understand what is the aim of life; therefore they are called manda. Because they do not understand their real interest of life, they can be called very bad
- The qualitative distinction of the body as being good, bad or mediocre is extinguished, and again the qualitative manifestations become merged in the material energy, which is produced from a false sense of the pure living being
- The residents of the material world who enjoy the products of these flowing rivers have no wrinkles on their bodies and no grey hair. They never feel fatigue, and perspiration does not give their bodies a bad odor
- The so-called members of the brahmana and other high-order families are no longer highly cultured because of the bad influence of the present age
- The so-called morality and goodness of this material world is all bad, but in the spiritual world even so-called immorality is good. This we must understand
- The son inherits mother's quality, and the daughter inherits father's quality. So because the grandfather of Vena Maharaja was a bad man, his daughter means Sunitha, the mother of Vena, she became bad
- The sons born of Krodhavasa were the serpents known as dandasuka, as well as other serpents and the mosquitoes. All the various creepers and trees were born from the womb of Ila. The Raksasas, bad spirits, were born from the womb of Surasa
- The spiritual master is so kind that in spite of having bad dreams due to the sinful disciple, he accepts this troublesome business for the deliverance of the victims of Kali-yuga
- The spiritual world is eternal. The material world is temporary. We are spirit soul. We are eternal. Therefore our business is to go back to the spiritual world, not that we remain in the material world and change body from bad to worse
- The Supreme Personality gives directions as to what is good and what is bad, and one simply has to act in Krsna consciousness to attain the perfection of life. BG 1972 purports

- The word manda means both slow and bad, and everyone in this age is either bad or slow or a combination of both. People are unfortunate and disturbed by so many things
- Their bodies become wrinkled and gradually deteriorate until they become almost like dwarves, and a bad odor emanates from their bodies because of unclean perspiration resulting from eating all kinds of nasty things
- There are two kind of activities, good or bad. If you act nicely, pious activities, then you get good chance. And if you act sinfully, then you have to suffer
- There is a proverb in Bengali that a bad king spoils the kingdom and a bad housewife spoils the family
- There is good sex life and bad sex life. One who does not know what is good sex life, what is bad sex life, he's a rascal
- There is no question of ill treating of our own Godbrothers simply because they are sick, nor should you allow such neglect to go on
- There is restriction of sex life, there is restriction of drinking wine, there is restriction of meat-eating, and there is restriction of gambling. Because these things are bad. You cannot become good by indulging in bad things. That is not possible
- Therefore there was no need for anxiety about Gokula while the Supreme Personality of Godhead was personally present (because if one performs his occupational duties of ds by chanting and hearing there cannot be any danger from bad elements) - SB 10.6.3
- These are some bad omens indicating something undesirable in the near future
- These people, who were actually atheistic and of bad character, took up the Vedic principles in an imaginary, infamous way to support their activities
- They (people) are simply busy with material activities. Therefore all of them are performing only bad karma and therefore suffering. They are blind men leading other blind men. And both are then suffering by bad karma. That is very easy to understand
- They (persons who want to exploit the administrative power for their own self-interest) compete for votes by bad propaganda and take pleasure in having politics but no king
- They advertise milk is bad
- They are blind men and leading some other blind men. And both of them are expanding the path to hell by bad karma
- They have no experience of grey hair, wrinkles or invalidity, their bodily lusters do not fade, their perspiration does not cause a bad smell, and they are not troubled by fatigue or by lack of energy or enthusiasm due to old age
- They want the children to be good, but the parents are all bad
- Thinking that some bad planet had attacked Krsna, mother Yasoda picked up the crying child and allowed Him to suck her breast. Then she called for experienced brahmanas to chant Vedic hymns and perform an auspicious ritualistic ceremony - SB 10.7.11
- This healthy condition is lost when the living entity forgets Krsna due to being attracted by the external features of Krsna's maya energy. This world of maya is called durasraya, which means false or bad shelter
- This is certainly true (that all bad elements immediately disappear) of the place where the chanting of the holy name of Krsna is done seriously - especially in Vrndavana when the Supreme Lord was personally present
- This is not very good sign. People should eat sumptuously; not overeating. Overeating is bad
- This material calculation that, "This is good, this is bad," and "This is happy and this is miserable," in the transcendental position they think that they are all equal
- This material world is called dvaita, or duality. The Caitanya-caritamrta (CC Antya 4.176) says - In the world of duality - that is to say, in the material world - so-called goodness and badness are both the same
- This tongue is sudurmati. It is very, very badly intelligent. Not at all intelligent. He wants to eat. That I hear. Just like here we can see, in these big cities
- This word "sincere," there is no meaning unless he is a devotee. Ei bala ei manda sab mano-dharma: "These are all mental concoction." There is no meaning. "This man is good," "This man is sincere," "This man is bad" they are all mental concoction
- This world of maya is called durasraya, which means "false or bad shelter." One who puts his faith in durasraya becomes a candidate for hoping against hope
- Those who are members of this society, they should be ideal. Simply by their association people will become good, very good responsibility. And if they become bad themselves, there is no possibility because we are giving instruction
- Thus for the continuation of the materialistic way of life He creates happiness and distress, good fortune and bad, bondage and liberation, birth and death
- To work situated in sad-dharma is the right direction of life. One's aim of life should be to go back home, back to Godhead, and not be subjected to repeated births and deaths in the material world by getting good or bad bodies for temporary existence

- Unfortunately, because people in Kali-yuga are mandah, all bad, and sumanda-matayah, misled by false conceptions of life, they are killing cows in the thousands
- Unfortunately, we are very, very slow, manda. Manda means bad, fallen, abominable. The whole population in this age, they are very, very fallen, manda. Why manda? They have advanced so much in material comforts. That is not required
- Unless we practice this yoga system (of always engaging in devotional service, always worshiping Krsna and always offering obeisances unto Him), our illusory attachment for this bad body, which is full of stool and urine, is impossible to give up
- Unrestricted and unlawful monetary inflation has created a bad economy all over the world and has provoked us to manufacture huge and costly weapons to destroy the very result of such cheap money-making

- Vidura inquired from the sage Maitreya: My dear brahmana, King Anga was very gentle. He had high character and was a saintly personality and lover of brahminical culture. How is it that such a great soul got a bad son like Vena
- Visvamitra, being angry, cursed them. "May all of you bad sons become mlecchas," he said, "being opposed to the principles of Vedic culture"

- War is not always bad. Nothing is bad, nothing is good, unless it is used for God. That's it. Our philosophy is everything is good. God is all-good. So if He advises to fight, that is also good
- We are creating so many sinful reaction of life by our body, deha, and vag, by words. Suppose you are innocent, and if I call you by bad names and use my words without any restriction, "You rascal fool" and so on, so on, so that is also sinful
- We are thinking that the energy is hot or cold, good or bad, pleasant or unpleasant, but in fact the energy is the same
- We do not depend on the public opinion - "This is good" or "This is bad." Our "good" "bad" is: if it is favorable for spreading Krsna consciousness, it is good; otherwise bad
- We do not think in terms of that simply my brother is good, I am good. And all bad. This kind of narrow, crippled consciousness we hate, we kick out
- We have created our mental concoction: "This is duty. This is good. This is bad." That is our mano-dharma. Real dharma is sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam - BG 18.66
- We have got about one hundred centers. So we are simply engaged in Krsna consciousness business. So far our material necessities are concerned, we are not badly situated
- We have renounced our family life after thinking something. Now, if somebody comes, "Swamiji, you take thousand millions of dollars and marry again and become a family man," I'll never become, because I have got my bad experience
- We have to act to satisfy Krsna. That is bhakti. We cannot make our choice that, "This is good, this is bad." Whatever Krsna says is all right. Then it is bhakti
- We should not try to lord it over the material nature, nor should we reject material things. The best way to make the best use of a bad bargain is to use everything in relation with the supreme spiritual being
- Welfare is actually waste of money. But social construction is so bad they have to give welfare. If they take our Krsna consciousness movement, we can stop this welfare money, let them pay
- What is this nonsense? If He's God, God is good, how can you blame Him? God is good; in all circumstances, He's good. That is the meaning of good. Good does not mean that one time you are good and next time you are bad
- What we have discussed is printed in Caitanya Caritamrta. How can we rectify? We can't rectify what is written in Caitanya Caritamrta. We have no bad feeling or disrespect for Vallabhacarya
- Whatever He is doing, that is all-good. This is one side. And whatever I am doing without authority's order, this is all bad
- Whatever we see, very superior or inferior, good or bad, that is all from Krsna. "Bad is also Krsna?" Yes. Bad is also Krsna because there cannot be anything existing without Krsna - no existentional position
- When he met Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the Bhattacarya fell down flat to offer Him respects. After offering various prayers to Him, he spoke of his previous bad disposition with great humility
- When one forgets that he is an eternal servant of Krsna, he wants to enjoy the material world through different plans. At that time he distinguishes between material plans that are good and those that are bad. Actually, however, they are all false
- When one is absorbed in the illusory energy of Krsna and cannot understand Krsna, one cannot ascertain what is good for him and what is bad
- When one is in an insane condition, he speaks all kinds of nonsense. Thus to become engaged in sense gratification, one has to accept a friend who is durmada, or badly affected by the material disease
- When the sense gratificatory activities are performed under sinful conditions, they are called ku-visaya, bad sense enjoyment
- When there is a bad bargain, so intelligent man makes the best use, "All right, how it can be used for the best purpose?" That is wanted
- When there is some disturbance caused by wild animals in a village or town, the police or others take action to kill them. Similarly, it is the duty of the government to kill at once all bad social elements such as thieves, dacoits and murderers
- When we are freed from the bad elements of life, then we become fixed up in our Krsna consciousness. Nistha. Then rucis - taste. Nistha, rucis, then asaktis - attachment; then bhava - ecstasy. Then the next stage is love of Godhead
- Wherever He (Rsabhadeva) traveled, all bad elements surrounded Him, just as flies surround the body of an elephant coming from a forest. He was always being threatened, beaten, urinated upon and spat upon
- Who can guarantee that he is not nearing death? Everyone is nearing death at every moment. Why should you wait for old age? That is manda-mater, bad intelligence
- Who is good? (laughs) Everyone is good; I am bad
- Why government is maintaining the police force, the military force? It is required for keeping law and order. So violence is bad, that's all right; but sometimes it is required
- Witches like Kotara, Revati, Jyestha, Putana and Matrka, are always ready to give trouble to the body, the life air and the senses, causing loss of memory, madness and bad dreams - SB 10.6.27-29
- Woman is good and man is good, but if you combine them, then both become bad, unless there is regulation
- Woman is good, man is good; when they combine together, bad. This is the material world. Both of them are good, but when they combine together, they are bad. This is material world. In the spiritual world, there is no such combination

- You cannot stop war between bad elements. Make them good. Then you can avoid. You cannot stop fighting between the dogs. That is not possible
- You inspire me within the heart and make me speak with the tongue. I do not know whether I am speaking well or badly
- You must give up the association of bad elements. And who is bad element? One bad element is one who is too much attached to women, and the other bad element is who is not devotee of God. Give up their association. Then you will be steady
- You require a leader; we require a leader. That is wanted. Without leader we cannot go. But if you select a bad leader, blind leader, then you remain blind
- You see nowadays this man, he's eating anything, the hog's intestine... Hog is eating stool, and the intestine is filled up with the stool, and they have to clear it out. When it is boiled there is a so bad smell. And that is very palatable
